King: We will re-investigate last April’s (4th month of the year) incident so capture Kim Boong-Do who has committed high treason.
Hee-Jin: You said you would take responsibility. You said you would. Don’t go.

The amulet will become a curse if there are other deep ambitions? What does she mean by deep ambitions? Like bad deep ambitions? or deep ambitions just for the benefit of oneself? Is this Yoon Wol lying to persuade Boong Do or telling the truth to persuade Boong Do?
I added another meaning of the Korean word. It is desire. The meaning is close to selfish desire.
I remember in one of your recaps, Boong Do once said, “It has now become a situation in which knowing its existence is poison.” What he said, can it be connected to that? The talisman is only used to save his life whenever he is met by death but now, he uses it as a vessel to go back and forth from Joseon and 2012. He uses it for his own desire to meet with Hee Jin and live for his own happiness now that Queen In-Hyun was reinstated. It’s existence has become a poison for he needs to seek death in order to live and/or time travel to 2012.
I don’t know if I still make sense. I’m feeling nervous now and tomorrow is Wednesday. ;n; *bury me*
And hey! If Minister Min were to frame Boong Do by sending an anonymous to the King that the queen and Boong Do had a secret liaison, then it’s like what Boong Do fears at episode 10 when he got amnesia. And is that the writer hinting about the possibility of that?

Oh dear…..the amulet is indeed a curse as far as YW is concerned…it is because of it that her master seeks to die. And risks actually dying. And what is this reinvestigation business?? Once wasn’t enough?? This must be the rumour abt the Queen and him- which , if true, is quite neatly done, and ties in with Boong Do’s fears earlier. This drama does not leave any loose ends untied , does it?? Argh anyway just hope they dont cause him too much pain! He’s already been shot at and slashed at ! Finally though I see HJ doing what any woman who loves her bf would do- beg him not to go! She was so cool earlier , whenever he poofs out she would never ask when he was coming back…turns out she does mind…and now actively asks him to stay…love.
Urgh…. so looking forward to the next episode…. I haven’t followed.obsessing over a drama like this in ages….
Maybe what YW meant was that BD’s confusion on whether he should stay in his time or stay in HJ’s is what’s causing the “curse”? That’s his ambitions. Also, I’m imagining HJ saying that to BD when he, in some way, time shifts to the future and they’re rushing him to the hospital? But that’s just my guess. Man, they sure know how to keep us guessing.

Thank you for the translation, Joonni! I think you’re right, ‘selfish desire’ more aptly explains Boong-do’s use of the amulet to see Hee-jin vs restoring the Queen. Let’s see what tonight brings.
