Its funny how in other dramas, people go “i hope they have more lovey dovey scenes for the OTP.”. As in hand-holding, tender looks, MAYBE a kiss for the finale.
But for QIHM, we’re like “MAARRRWWW kissing scenes!!” or “i hope they have babies.” hahahahaha. We’re so sure of our OTP and the writer’s ability to feed our OTP-addiction.
The writer knows are needs and I’m sure she wants them too. You have this feeling with this writer that she isn’t merely writing for an audience to please them (fanservice), but because she is really enjoying writing the drama.
@Elena – ROFL! I like Boong-Do in traditional clothing. I like JI HYUN WOO shirtless. *hehehe* Hilarious Joonni! Ah, I’m so going to miss all the fun with this drama. I haven’t read anything recent about the OST but I’m guessing a complete soundtrack will come out when the drama finishes. I will try to keep my eye out for it and update.

Do you want to know how much of a life I DON’T have?
I am actually taking Friday off so I can mourn the end of the show, and dwell a little longer in the fantasy of BD and HJ.
However it ends, we’ll always have the telephone box!

Wow. I could definitely see myself needing a lot of time to digest these final episodes. Thankfully, I work from home so I don’t have to take a day off like you. I really do wish I could hang out with some of the other QIHM fans for real so we could squeal and mourn together.
I have two bosses that are out of town, and my husband has been out of town all week, so this week has been ME, in a CAR, driving either one KID or the OTHER to PRACTICE CONCERT BANQUET BALL GAME LESSON WORK, so I really need some time to cry, by myself, with nobody asking, “Mom, are you crying again because of a SHOW?” It is very cathartic.
Does anyone else ever just cry because a show ends? It isn’t necessarily because it is sad, but that I connected with one or two or more of the characters.
I specifically remember this happening when finishing Giant, Hong Gil Dong, The Duo, WBDS, Sandglass and Life Is Beautiful – OMG – none of them is like the other, but each of them struck a chord in me.
(I didn’t think I would recover from THAT ending in WBDS ever.)
I find crying very cathartic after a long emotional journey. So I’m betting that I will need such a session after this drama ends.
I think the last time I did that was after I watched Secret Garden. I was obsessed with that show since the very beginning and 20 episodes of an emotional roller coaster was just too much. I don’t think I necessarily cried because OF the show but just because my body physically needed it.
Joonni!!!! I came up with this absurd but most probably the ending for our beloved QIHM.
The talisman got burned and then everything got reset back to square one. The only thing that is left between CHJ and KBD is a real-like dream (such as what CHJ experienced when the talisman was cut into half). With them promising to meet again in front of the palace (the ‘metaphor’ scene) just to make sure if the ‘dream’ isn’t a dream. From there, more or less all those pictures we saw online like the one with both of them on red carpet will appear naturally. Waaaaa I’ve been squeezing my brain dry to come up with this ‘wishful’ ending LOLs.
And yes I think the talisman will be of no importance in the ‘metaphor’ scene. If you notice, when KBD and his horse jumps through (?) the wall, the thrown spears are no where near to killing him which in the first place he have to be on the brink of death to be able to transport to 2012, right?
Ohh well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what the Director and Writer have in stored for us in ep 15 and 16. Can’t wait for tomorrow morning (my local time) for your recap ((=
@Wiina – that’s a totally plausible ending! I salute your ability to come up with it! I think that the talisman must lose its power too (otherwise neither HJ nor BD can get on with living confidently), and I was thinking of some kind of ‘reset’/ ‘reboot’ ending, but couldn’t wrap my mind round it.
It’s ok though, we’ll find out soon!
I’ve just finished watching QIHM ep14 (during my lunch break to boot). and I cried. I freaking cried with CHJ. and then I cried again when KBD said his farewell with Han-Dong. and again when he said goodbye to his horse and again when Han-Dong screams for KBD. and AGAIN when CHJ & KBD reunited. i’m so emotionally drained.
and SHL, soon is still a long way to go.. T.T
The thing is that, I really don’t want that kind of ending. I don’t want time to be turned back. I don’t want them to somehow magically feel like they are connected to each other. I know many people would consider this romantic, but I find it wishy-washy. I don’t find it be either a sad ending or a happy ending, even if they end up together in the future. Those types of endings always make me feel like the whole original journey of the couple throughout the drama was negated somehow, like all the it didn’t matter what choices they made along the way since it was all fated to be anyway.
true.. thinking about the journey they’ve gone through together since the beginning being erased makes me want to cry my heart out. sigh
That’s true. I don’t wish for a ‘fated to be together’-type ending either. I’d rather (I think) a bittersweet ending than that. Magical romances can be too ‘fluffy’, and while this drama isn’t ‘realisic’ in its premise (time-travelling), it has tried to be plausible (as said on Dramabeans).
@Wiina – could we not hold hands and breathe deeply together while we wait? Metaphorically, of course! Together with all other QIHM fans.
Completely agree with Joonni!! Can’t wait for the last two episodes as i am waiting for the surprise that the writer has in waiting for us all.

for the ending, i want to see boong-do and heejin happily married and with a kid, hopefully a son (that way, technically boong-do’s family line didn’t die out).
or for boong-do to find out that aside from heejin, he’s not completely alone/orphan bc he has descendants. remember in ep 14, the king had his servants sent to his uncle’s. that would be real nice for boong-do
and also i can’t imagine the look on dong min’s face when he finds out heejin will be getting married, lmao. wonder if he’ll go back to being his jerky self b4 he got concerned about heejin crying
I really have no idea what is going to happen in this ending… ANYTHING can happen. A Rooftop Prince, 49 days bittersweet ending, a TK2H happy-sad ending without our Eun Shi kyung or a super-duper-fairytale, bow tie non sensical happy ending— Who knows? I have faith in this show, it WONT DISSAPOINT.
