Seriously, I’ve now watched an insane number of kdrama, but this was the first time I’ve had to hit pause at 5, 10 minute intervals to run, hyperventilate, jog up and down the staircase, gnaw at my fingernails, rant at anyone who’d listen to me gush about the show, run and fan myself some more, make stabbing gestures, making primal screams of desperation and disbelief, run some more, then get some water and some semblance of composure back before hitting play again.
I marathoned episodes 12 – 15 last night because I had work commitments that I knew I couldn’t handle if I’d tried to watch the show as it aired. But I wanted to be caught up in time to watch the finale on time. So last night’s marathon of four episodes that ought to have taken only 3 hours or so took me nearly 6-8 hours with all the pausing and running around like a panicked monkey. I actually told one of my neighbors after episode 14 that I wasn’t sure if my endocrine system would be able to handle the experience of finishing QIHM. LOL!
And Joonni, dear Tomato, you are delicious. A tomato of heirloom variety. π
Oh, and another reason why the marathon took so long was that after I watched each episode, I read your recaps. Had to. When the dramatic tension hit peak levels, I watched 5 mins, read your recaps up to that point, went back to the show, back to the recap, and so on.
I am so glad you caught up in time for the final episode. Your thoughts have been so valuable.
While I was reading this comment, I thought you were describing me for a second. While I couldn’t gush to my neighbors, I’m sure they were startled at all the screaming.

@echo- me too, this is the first drama that I watch, read recaps, rewatch, reread recaps (@Joonni- I must have read all your recaps at least 3 times. Thanks again) and am already planning to do a marathon as soon as I have a weekend free.

this drama brought out all the right emotions out of me… i am actually at loss as to what to type.. i feel like i wanna say a lot but still no words…
