Photo Spam: Shin Won Ho of “Big”
Leave it to K-drama land to deliver on the eye-candy, the latest being Shin Won Ho of the currently airing drama Big.
I have a soft spot for cute boys with single eyelids so when I first saw Shin Won Ho in episode 1 of Big, I was immediately interested. It doesn’t help that he really looks like the lovechild of Song Joong Ki and Lee Min Ho. Since I miss both actors so much and still have to wait some week until they reappear on my screen again, I’m gonna take what I can in the form of this boy. Thank god he’s 20 years old so I don’t feel that perverted. 🙂

Currently, he is part of K-pop idol boy group called Cross Gene under the alias, “Shin.” Cross Gene is a multinational boy group with members from Japan, China, and Korea. They just debuted in June 8 with the released of the mini-album “Timeless.” I’ve included the music video below (he’s the boy in the pink suit, I think) and all I can say is that I hope he continues to pursue acting projects.

I actually felt some dismay when I realized that we were going to have to see his sleeping/comatose form for the subsequent episodes. I am a fan of GY yet, I found myself wanting to see this fresh faced yet “hints of great things to come” actor!!! I found his chemistry with the lead actress a great watch too! I think I finally found a reason to watch Bachelor Veggie store now. 😉

He really does resemble a lot of cute actors and mostly my Song Joong Ki for that matter…how is that possible? OmO! That smirk indeed is same as Yoo Ah In’s…and his pic in Skin Food…he looks like Yoo Seung Ho of Operation Proposal…
I was excited to see Gong Yoo again but instead he stole my heart. It’s sad that we won’t be seeing him much. I hope he wakes up before the last episode!
If you wanna see him a lot watch him in Bachelor’s Vegetable Shop, he’s even cuter, and he’s in every episode. No one seems to know he was in that drama though..
and he can sing and dance too!

I was like “Who is that cute guy?” when I saw the Skin Food commercials. What a surprise to see that is Shin Won Ho!
Yay, I loved your comparison, he is like a love child of Song Joong Ki and Lee Min Ho, our two ultra flower boy.
I remember when I watched the first few episodes of Will it Snow at Christmas, I immediately felt for Song Joong Ki. (and his air time isn’t even more than 10 minutes, is it?), then when he played in SKKS, I went all crazy for him.
My heart is also stolen by SHW when I watched ep 1 in Big. If he wake up (even with the soul of Young Jae), I may consider to revisit the show, teehee :-P. I guessed the storylinewill be too complicated, and SWH’s acting experience does not allow him to carry this type of role, so the chance of that happens is pretty low. Hope that he’ll have more exciting drama project for the near future 😀
Btw, I notice that you’re ALSO a fan of Haruki Murakami? I loved him!! His is my all time favorite writer 🙂
I love Haruki Murakami. Although I do find some themes repetitive, he has a way of transporting me to different worlds.
When I was younger, I really connected with the “loneliness” or disconnect that his characters felt with the world.

I looooovvee shin won ho,, he is cute n cool, from the first sceene I love him, , but ihate the ending eps. Of. Big, why shin won ho not appear to the last sceene, I was hopely more to that last scene, huuuft 😦

glad to be on the same line with you pipz! i love this cute kid. it was a waste to keep him lying there all through out most of the episodes of Big. he is the one i have rooted for and wanted to watch. oh i love gong yoo, it’s a given but this guy was not given a chance to show his goods. i wish we could see him soon on another project hopefully on his two feet.
I first saw him in “Big” i really like his character there and can’t help but to have a crush on him. He’s so cute. I just wish that they showed more of him and especially in the ending.
