Brief Recap: Enews Segment on Ji Hyun Woo-Yoo In Na Love Story

Here is what was supposed to be a brief recap. I got a little more detailed that I planned too and now I’m too tired to do the rest of the show tonight. Here is the first part of the segment on “Enews.” This part is especially good because we got to see the BTS of the elevator kiss. Kya!

0:00 The narrator describes it as a love born off the radio waves; a couple with the visuals of a romance manhwa.
0:11 Ji Hyun Woo is the icon of “the younger man.” Yoo In Na is the bagel-girl icon. (Bagel girl is recently (maybe 5 years?) created description for women with baby faces but glamorous bodies. Koreans pronounce glamorous as “geul-rae-muh” so Bagel= Ba(by)+geul(-rae-muh).)
0:27 Narrator says Melodrama acting that overcame time and space to lovers that overcame the age gap.
0:37- It seems the female we see on screen is the reporter from Sports Seoul that broke the news about them in the park. She says that dating rumors spread because the two seemed close during the drama shooting.
0:45 The narrator saying that they will introduce Ji Hyun Woo’s love technique. His love technique is described as a “fast ball.” Yoo In Na’s love technique is open-minded (implying that she is open-minded to have started a relationship with someone who is going to the army soon).
1:15 The narrator says love technique of “fast ball” JHW is “Bold Kiss.”
1:42 I think at the press conference,Yoo In Na was asked if there was any “episodes” involving their kiss scenes but she said no, there wasn’t. They acted straight through without any NG’s. Ji Hyun Woo says the same thing and he adds that the director doesn’t like steamy/deep kiss scenes.
2:17 They’re showing the rehearsal for their first kiss scene. The female narrator describes Yoo In Na as awkward immediately after the director yells cut while JHW seems to be unmoved. The little bubbles around YIN say “awkward” and the one around JHW says “quick glance.”
2:42 The male narrator says that when a man sees this, he doesn’t think JHW is unmoved. He’s actually liking it a lot.
2:52 The narrators are discussing why JHW is suddenly smiling. He’s also trying to do the poker face because he shouldn’t show that he likes to film the kiss scene. Subtitle says that JHW is putting on a pokerface. The female narrator concludes that his expressionless face before was JHW trying to be cool in front of a noona. But he eventually falls on his knees because he likes it so much.
3:14 The narrator says that later, JHW even wet his lips and gulped. The female narrator is surprised that JHW had such a sly side to him. Subtitle under JHW’s face read, “Ah…thirsty.”
3:28 They finally go into the real shooting. The kiss scene with no NG.
3:44 Bubbles around JHW say nervous. Subtitle says “First Kiss is ‘Bold Kiss.”After YIN kisses him, the bubbles are just happy sounds.
4:02 Narrator (N) says that as soon as lips separate, JHW goes back to putting on a poker face. (But we saw that small smile!!!!!) The female says JHW must have suffered trying to hide his happiness.
4:14 N says that JHW must have wanted a certain pose since he puts YIN’s hand behind his neck.
4:44 The subtitle read, “Don’t be surprised. We are showing this at 3 times the normal speed.”
4:50 The second love technique of “fast ball” JHW is “Bold Confession.”
5:03 N saying at the finale event, the famous “men-boong confession” event happened.
5:20 The caption near YIN says YIN is stomping her feet in a “men-boong” action because she is happy.
5:26 N is saying people think that this was unexpected event but JHW’s confession was tailored to YIN’s wishes. We hear the April 16 radio segment when JHW asked YIN if women liked direct confessions.
6:19 N is saying that YIN had said before her ideal type is an honest person.
6:23 We are only hearing the audio from the K-variety show “Happy Together” when she talked about her ideal type. She doesn’t like men who seem to have something that they are hiding or have other intentions.
6:34 N talk about how JHW’s ideal type is similar to YIN. We only hear the audio from K-variety show “Dalonga” in which JHW talked about dating older women. JHW finds older women more comfortable when he talks to them.
6:53 N says that JHW suggested YIN for the drama.
7:02 We see clip of the press conference where JHW said that the casting for the drama was generally hard but overall the casting worked out really well.
7:14 N saying that their relationship (as in knowing each other) started in the beginning of the year (with the January radio show). N says that JHW probably won’t be able to say that he didn’t have personal feelings even from back then.
7:25 N saying the two showed closeness on set so dating rumors were always flying.
7:36 N saying that Enews also felt that these two had a strange atmosphere (at the interview.)
7:39 The two are talking about how to say hello at the start of the interview. JHW tells YIN that the director seems to not have focused the lens. YIN winks in response to show that she got it. The N says that the two are communicating with their eyes. N says JHW seems to have been unable to wait for YIN to finish her individual shooting. YIN says to JHW “What are you looking at? Are you going to start arguing with me again?” (LOL. So they speak in banmal/informal and what YIN said in April radio show was true. JHW really does nag.) N says JHW’s eyes are melting like honey.
8:06 The interviewer is saying that photos of them looking close are making people ask if they are dating. JHW answers, “Make your own judgement.” YIN says she saw the pictures and she thinks that they look good together.
8:43 The second love technique of “fast ball” JHW is “Bold Tweet.” N are talking about how it was reported that JHW couldn’t be contacted but 4 days later JHW delivered his message. They read his tweet- he had written that he would do the same thing again. N call it the second “fast ball.”
9:34 N saying how three days later photos of them dating came out. Then YG said that YIN would address it herself.
9:50 The love technique of open-minded YIN is “Bold Walk.” We see YIN on radio talking about how she replied to JHW and they met at the park.
10:34 N saying how the day they were caught on camera was the day YIN accepted JHW’s heart,
went on their first date, and took their first couple photo.
10:52 The show the park. The park is in front of YIN’s apartment. The N are describing the date using the photos. N says the date ended with YIN escorting JHW to his car. (That’s when the photos inside the parking lot were taken.)
11:45 N are talking about how YIN’s males fan are heartbroken. They are showing the picture of the comedian “Heo Kyung Hwan.” He was the guest on YIN’s radio show after she confessed. I think they were talking about how Busan men say “I Love You” to their girlfriends. YIN says Heo Kyung Hwan is cool. He says what’s the point when she likes someone else. YIN laughs and tries to end the segment.
12:15 N saying that another victim that day was YIN’s close friend IU. YIN had said that IU was “men-boong” when YIN told her about it.
