[Vid] Lee Min Ho and Kim Hee Sun Behind-the-Scenes for “Faith”
by joonni on July 17, 2012
I just wanted to share Faith‘s first behind-the-scene video because it’s unbelievable how happy in makes me to see Lee Min Ho in action again.
From the looks of it, it looks like they are shooting the scene when Lee Min Ho first arrives in modern time. The location is “Bong Eun Suh” (a Buddhist temple) that was built during the Goryeo dynasty. Perhaps General Choi’s time-traveling abilities will come from a monk again?
Lee Min Ho talks about how it is his first time filming a sageuk and he is enjoying wearing and doing different things. Poor boy had a cold during the shooting. He also says that he will do his best to help create a new, exciting, and well-made drama.
My doubts about Kim Hee Sun as Lee Min Ho’s partner have slowly been appeased as she did look younger in Goryeo garb in the latest trailer. And now watching these two filming, the doubts are getting even smaller as they seem to have good chemistry. It’s also interesting that Lee Min Ho is speaking informally (banmal) to Kim Hee Sun when she is ten years older than him. Speaking informally with that much of an age gap is very unusual in Korea. I guess it means that our leads are getting along well.
It also made me giggle to see Lee Min Ho lift up Kim Hee Sun so easily. What a way to make a girl swoon. And his sword swinging skills! This boy is going to kill me come August.
I felt so weird hearing the background song about “her eyes..” and “her hair…” while LMH was on the screen, trying out the sword and wind started blowing his hair… LOL big time!
Thanks!
LMH’s voice and the way he speaks are what get me. He’s so charming.
I know nothing of the pretty girl, but she seems fairly typical of the pretty girl actresses who have had some work done, maybe?
Do you think she will be called upon for some heavy duty emotional scenes, or just lots of screaming and pensive moments?
You feel that way too? There is something about the way he speaks that is really mesmerizing. I guess that is why he is an actor; it’s like there is an emotion behind every word he speaks.
I don’t think Kim Hee Sun had a lot of work done, but yeah, she’s had some work done judging from past photos. Although she’s never publicly admitted (as far as I know) it so I guess it’s all speculation.
Kim Hee Sun was very active during the height of trendy, rom-com, angsty dramas in the late 1990s so she definitely knows how to cry very prettily. She’s not a terrible actress and she’s also done some heavy roles, which I have liked. It’s just that you don’t see a lot of improvement or depth in her acting. She’s better at doing the lighter, brighter characters than the full on tortured soul characters. I don’t think her character in Faith will be too heavy.
thanks for the update, Joonni! I am really looking forward to this drama too! Big fan of Lee min ho. I am excited to see Kim Hee Sun too as she was one of the first kdrama actresses that I remember liking (in “Smile Again” with Lee Dong Gun and Lee Jin Wook).
Lee Min Ho never fails to impress me…or us all! How does he do that? Just one swing of his sword just makes me so giddy…keke! Can’t wait to see him make his full swing this August! 🙂
Woah. My ovaries exploded a little at the effortless lifting. I wouldn’t mind being swept of my feet if LMH did the sweeping. Hmmm, Lee Min-HOT indeed. :)))
I guess I am the only one wondering why they had to go with such an older actress who has been out of the business for quite some time. I saw clips of her older dramas on the news when she got married, but even from those, I can’t remember if she could even act well. why couldn’t they go with a more current actress who is closer in age with LMH for a change. Poor guy is always acting with noonas except for the last drama – probably why they ended up dating since they were around the same age. I remember from an interview that LMH said he likes to speak banmal with his co stars so that there is no awkwardness between them. Plus he has that aegyo side of him but way more toned down than JW. Since this actress is married with a kid, I really thought he wouldn’t this time and call her sunbaenim for a change, but I guess not. He likes to close the age gap somewhat by being more familiar with them I guess. I love the video clip cuz when he had to try picking her up, she reacted quickly and said pick up someone else for a test run. She acted like any other woman and didn’t think how great would it be to have LMH carry me – she was only worried about what if I am too heavy and he can’t lift me. Poor guy looked like he was straining a bit. Probably his thick costume and his current condition fighting that cold might have had something to do with it, but I have a feeling after all those takes of carrying her around, he is going home to put on some heat packs on his muscles. The guy is young, but not that young. 🙂
You’re not the only wondering Softy. I keep asking why Kim Hee Sun? What were some of the casting qualifications? That’s one of the reasons why I’m so curious about this project. Is there something about the Eun Soo character that the director wanted Kim Hee Sun to play?
I saw in photos that eventually, Lee Minho decided to sling her over his shoulder instead of carrying her around like that. Heeheeehee.
Sorry for butting in. Actually it is Kim Hee Sun because the poor girl stuck with this drama until the end. Most of the actors would leave this drama or drop it. But she didn’t. Even after 2 years, she still was waiting for this drama and just because LMH was casted I don’t think it is right to cast a better leading lady when KSH waited so long and all.
I’m curious to know why she was cast in the first place for the role. I know she stuck with the drama and along came Lee Min ho to make her look older and have people like me complain. Poor girl, indeed. If Kang Ji Hwan had stayed, no problem.
LOL. The same experience going on for me right now when most people have decided that nothing is going on with So Ji Sub’s eyes when I see the emotions.
Because of Kim Hee Sun, I only watch her acting, not all the young or old actors. She is very beautiful and cute personality, she been admired by korean , HK and china fans for a long time. I had been her fan ever since she is teenage and she had been acting along with many famous actors before inc.Jackie Chan. She is very special and she doesn’t show off that she had been married to very rich and handsome husband and had a wonderful daughter, you can see the news that she always give treats to all the staff, singers and casting partners. I love her and hope she forever look pretty and young…
I’m counting the days:). It’s the only drama that I am most excited about.
waiting For this drama
Joonni, thanks for the teaser. I am looking forward to this drama.
I felt so weird hearing the background song about “her eyes..” and “her hair…” while LMH was on the screen, trying out the sword and wind started blowing his hair… LOL big time!
Cause boy you’re amazing just the way you are…
Thanks!

I think the problem was cast LMH against her….. but I don’t think she looks that older next to him, so it’s okay 🙂
Nowadays Noona pairings are working… well at least for me, so far 🙂
Funny how I do like LMH off screen, but don’t like him on screen.
I don’t see much emotion in his eyes, while everyone says he does have. Is just weird for me.
I remember in City hunter he had his good moments, but a lot of moments he had that ”blank” face that I cannot explain…
But I was all smiles when he hold up the girl in his arms. Hahahaha She was so shy!
LOL. The same experience going on for me right now when most people have decided that nothing is going on with So Ji Sub’s eyes when I see the emotions.
Me too! I can see when he is sad, angry, nervous, but people say he just have the same poker face. I don’t think so. I love SJS eyes!
watching ghost right now!! love it, i can’t understand why peeps say that either i see daniel ‘s character perfectly portrayed
Kim Hee Sun does not look older than Lee Min Ho at all. She acts very well in different roles and very pretty. Love her very much.

I think Kim Hee Sun is among those kdramas actresses in the 90’s. So far, I think she had a gorgeous look.
Tôi rất mê cặp đôi trong Faith! Họ đẹp đôi quá!
