If you didn’t know that Five Fingers (starring Joo Ji Hoon, Ji Chang Wook, Choi Si Ra, and Ham Eunjung) was a serious, angsty melodrama about the lives of pianists from the trailer, now you definitely know.
Simple and boring but at least the posters get the genre right.
Anyone with a guess about why this drama is titled “Five Fingers.” I came up with the idead that the “five fingers” alludes to the inability to play the perfect melody of life. It sounds appropriately melodramatic, doesn’t it?
According to my quick research, two out of the four leads know how to play the piano. Choi Si Ra and Joo Ji Hoon both know how to play a bit, which means there will be less of the awkward fake-piano playing acting. But they do make for some funny NG’s. Maybe we’ll get some from Eunjung and Ji Chang Wook.
Sigh, I guess the hair is here to stay. Alas… I miss Joo Ji Hoon’s gorgeous hair in The Devil!

Five Fingers premiers after A Gentleman’s Dignity end. As for a set date, curse the Olympics! Holding back all my dramas. As much as I respect all the athletes who train so long and so hard to bring back the gold for their country, I’d rather be watching a drama than laps around a track after a long day of work.
The posters look…. appropriate? LOL! Just as bland as the teaser. Hmmmm…. maybe this will be like e.g. City Hunter where the teasers were kinda awful but the drama itself turned out more or less ok.
I’m alread dreading the amount of makjang I’ll have to wade through. I better stock up on booze….
It’s been a long time since I have seen JJH in a drama -hopefully this will be his comeback drama. OMG – that hair style is soooo dorky – doesn’t have to hammer that point in!! I like JJH in “the devil” and will tune in if it is subbed somewhere.
