“Faith” Making Episode 14

A rather uneventful BTS except for at 3:10 when Lee Min-ho, who is sitting with Ryu Deok-hwan on the throne, asks, “Did (I) do well?” and Ryu Deok-hwan nods “Yes.” Due to the lack of pronouns in the sentence, we can’t really tell if Lee Min-ho is asking if he himself did well or if he is referring to someone else but either way, these two are so cute together. I hope they stay friends beyond the drama.

I’m not going to translate the whole vid. Just going to recap some questions.

At 0:17- Lee Min-ho talks about how he only had about a month-and-half (two/three times a week) to practice sword-fighting so he didn’t feel ready when he started filming.

At 0:46 Park Se-young talks about how this is the first time she has appeared in a drama from the beginning to end so she was determined more than ever to work hard on this drama and felt a lot of responsibility.

At 1:10 Ryu Deok-hwan says that he calls Se-young often these days because he thinks its important the actors connect too, not just the characters they play. He gets a lot of energy from doing so. (I swear, RDH is such a playboy. It’s even more amazing how he says all this with a straight and serious face. It’s not even an act. He’s just a flirt by nature. :D)

At 1:40 Hee-sun says that she would like to go to the past like Eun-soo and see history unfurl before her eyes.

At 1:45, when asked about the age difference, Lee Min-ho says that Kim Hee-sun brings out the protective nature in him so he doesn’t really feel it.

At 2:04 RDH saying that he uses the sageuk-royal speak with Se-young during their down-time too. I wrote about this before in another post. But in this vid, we have at 2:17 RDH saying he sometimes calls her “bu-in,” which means wife, to which Lee Min-ho reacts with surprise- “Really? You call her “bu-in”? Then Kim Hee-sun points out that Lee Min-ho calls her “Imja” sometimes too. Lee Min-ho- “Yeah, I call you “imja.” Hee-sun- “Instead of noona.” So RDH says, all pouty, to LMH- “Why can’t I do it when you can?” Everyone laughs.

One thing I learned that Gongmin and Noguk are called the GongNo couple in Korea. I see. So we have the GongNo and the Imja couple. Hee!
