I am creating this separate thread where you can fangirl/fanboy and converse with each other so we can keep the recap threads a little more organized. So based on your own judgement, please comment here if you want think you are talking about something Faith related but not exactly about an episode itself.

To start off, here is my favorite Lee Min-ho picture because he was the one that made me think for the first time that skinny jeans look good on men. I am obsessed with his legs. I love how long they are.

They really are, especially because their characters are so great.
I keep thinking to myself how gorgeous Kim Hee-sun is. I think she is actually getting prettier with age. I used to think she was pretty before but now she looks beautiful.

Kim Hee-sun is probably one of the most beautiful actresses out there ATM. A lot of people are hatin’ on her for being 10 years older than LMH though…and that ticks me off! Why the double standards? Anywho, that’s another conversation! π
Kim Hee Sun is really beautiful..i saw some of her pics when she was on her 20s ..hmmm! age difference isn’t that bothersome with me..its how they portray their roles that matter..but on the lighter side, KHS’s and LMH’s age gap doesn’t show that much in their photos..they look good as a couple..
and besides almost all of LMH’s love interests in his dramas were older than him. Like in BOF, Ku Hye Sun is 3 yrs older, Mackerel Run: Moon Chae Won is a year older than him, Personal Taste: Son Ye Jin, 5 yrs older and in City Hunter: Park Min Young is also a year older than him..when these girls were paired up with LMH their age isn’t a question anymore coz they look good beside him.. π
It can be attributed with LMH’s height that even if his partner is way older than him they still looks young because he’s way taller than them.. π
I agree with Joonni, I think KHS is aging beautifully. IMO, KHS is LMH’s most pretty costar thus far.
In Faith, Eun Soo’s looks are evolving for the better and maybe it was intentionally done this way. In the beginning, she looked older because of the severe make up and her wavy bright red hair. Her looks have changed to a more natural face, longer straight hair and toned down color. She looks even more gorgeous now…a natural Goryeon beauty.
LMH looks a little older than his real age too which helps to close the physical age gap between him and his female costars.
you’re right pam..i’ve noticed the transition of Eun Soo’s looks from the first episode up to the present..she’s way too gorgeous now with her vibrant looking face..probably they’ve intentionally made a transition of her looks to compliment more with her blossoming love towards CY..
I know, KHS skin is just glowing..esp when she’s wearing that armor in the end with her hair up (which looks best on her). I want to know all the Kdrama stars’ beauty routines including their makeup and skin creams because they look fabulous!

Whenever my sister got asked where she was from, she would always answer, America, and when they would continue and ask where she was “really” from, she would say Sweden since she knew the baffled look on their face would quiet their probing questions. No, but I tell my hubby that I totally feel Korean, or at least am a wannabe. π My grandmother was from the Greater Antilles. Feel free to take a peek at my twitter pic. Joonni, Not that I want to pigeon hole anyone but I think it would be fun to know the ethnicity of all the fans here. I am curious how many Caucasian, Black, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, East Indians, African, etc, etc fans there are watching Faith. I am Asian American. I met an American lady several years ago who said that she and her husband loves watching Korean dramas. They even subscribed to the Korean channel. I saw a blog of a African American lady who loves Korean dramas and I think LMH as well. I wonder if LMH’s fans are really international or mostly Asians who live around the world.

Thanks for indulging your Faith-ers! π I’m not a blogger and new at fangirling so I was amused by the “censory ratings” you indicated for the links. Ha ha ha! It’s funny to think that a 14yo would be fargirling over LMH. My niece is Asian-American (Filipino born and raised in the US) and fangirling along with her friends over K-pop boybands. Guess there’s just soo many cutesy young actors in S. Korea so that LMH gets only soo much share of the fan-pie. Thus, the not so high rating of this drama. But above 10% viewer rating in Seoul should be at par, right? At par meaning decent for a K-drama. Cheers!! π
These, ratings in Korean don’t go as high as they used to with so much competition so while 10% ratings aren’t anything to brag about, it’s not too horrendous either.

I admit I was skeptical about this drama in the beginning, I didnt like the lead actress, she was too old, then I didnt think LMH was the right choice since he didnt look like Saeguk, the nI watch the first two episodes, I was disappointed becasue of the bad execution, but BUt of all the buts, I don;t know, I lasted till ep 20 and always checking your website for more Faith info , as you know I read all your entry related to FAITH , though I still don;t get that time hopping, loop or whatever. I was truly amazed on how you understand the writers point of view, I felt it too.
I put a playlist on my youtube account all about FAITH MV”S OST”S and making, sigh,I practically googled Kim Hee SUn, and watch her old movies, like the one with Jackie Chan, the Myth, also check youtube vids of King gongnim, and wiki his age and height. His short for a man but damn his good in acting. I don’t know what is this, feel so excited every Tuesday morning (coz that’s the time the vid and recaps were available) I dream of LMH maleness and hotness, pull that smug on Ki-chuls face, play flute and play fire with the pledge sis and bro and was imagining DH teaching me badook, coz that man is pretty lonely, he says, he has no one to play with, so I volunteer myself in my dreams. i will always let him win, coz it will take forever for me to learn that game I think. hahaha! well at first i also don’t want her ROLE as an annoying modern woman…..but her ACTING SKILLS is top notch!! and she’s not that old looking for him…they have a chemistry…heheheheh…but later as the story goes..i like her character more and more…for me she’s perfect for the role…

Faith is the Only LMH’s drama where the leading lady is soo enjoyable and pleasure to my eyes π
City Hunter is a must see… but only b/c of LMH acting/ fighting skills (really awesome!!), and the plot (quite interesting too).
I did n Β΄t really like PMYΒ΄s acting… not awful, but not good enough as LMH co-star. I did nΒ΄t feel the chemistry between them (nothing compare to KHS/ LMH chemistry on faith) and I feel like PMY character was left behind at some point.

You should watch Personal Taste ‘n City Hunter, LMH has a different roles, ‘n even younger, he can compensate his senior opponent. He did a great kisses at PT ‘n great fighting skills at CH. ^ ^
i abandoned PT after watched it for about…7eps. LMH is smokin hot.really really hot. and his role as a “gay” was also somehing new. But seriously, SYJ is just….

Even if this drama sucked terribly (Thank God it doesn’t. Faith rocks.) I still would’ve stuck around if only to watch LMH on screen. He had me at “Game over mida.”
Also, Ryu Deok-hwan is such an amazing find. His face is very expressive. And his eyes! They slay me everytime Gongmin cries or when he’s feeling conflicted. Will definitely watch out for his future projects.

I’ve seen several youtube vids of LMH’s interviews and he’s adorkable! He seems sweet, down to earth, introverted but engaging and he admits his mom cleans his room! LMBO!!! No wonder why he refuses to answer anymore personal questions during interviews..some questions were too invasive.
I bet he has a girlfriend hiding somewhere. No matter how cute LMH is, I would hate to be his girlfriend…having to hide and never be seen in public with him. It would also stink to have every women in the world love him and ogle him. That would drive me nuts π
I just appreciate him. His hotness aside. I just appreciate that he is a pleasant person and seems like a sweetheart. I honestly didnt love him in BOF but his personality won me over and I just wanted to hug him. But god damn does that man take a nice picture. Holy crap.
It makes me sad that celebs have to hide their relationships so much. That is such a big deal that they are in one. I wouldnt want to date LMH because I think I would scare him. He does seem like a really nice boy and I am pretty wacky. And I as a general policy dont like breaking people.

It seems like Korean celebrities are pressured to hide their relationships according to what I’ve seen from watching kdramas? In the U. S. it’s different. Paparazzi are everywhere and celebrities’ personal lives are dragged through the mud because there’s no hiding it. K celebrities work extra hard to appear polite, humble, kind, scandal-free and available (by not dating). That’s a lot of work and sacrifice for stardom! Plus K celebrities are so talented…they have to be a triple threat, be able to act, sing and dance!
Which is really sad. Personally I am ok if my biases date. I want them happy. Them happy is more important than anything else. I think its sad that fans have this mentality that their idols/actors are theirs. That they can control what they do. I hate it. Let them date whoever they want. They are allowed to be happy .
Honestly if I ever met LMH, I would just wanna hug him. Tell him to stay awesome and to be happy.

IKR? We as fans should want our celebrities to be happy, no matter what. Celebrities are not public domain, they should be able to lead their own lives. It”s sad to think that LMH and other kstars might feel lonely due to all of these expectations. LMH did say in an interview he wants a girlfriend in secret. I think that so sad!

Same sentiment exactly. While ‘Western’ fans are not as crazy as Asians, I really find it awful when they dissect their love lives or just turn on the sh#t storm because they don’t like the man or woman on the arm of their idol/obsession.
It’s not as if we will ever meet these persons in RL and yet they are real and have their own lives and fans should respect this. Those fans wouldn’t want to have their love lives dictated by others as well, but I guess here comes the fanatic part of being a ‘fan’ into play π¦

But the times are changing though not as fast as I would like them. I come form the Johnnys fandom (Japan) and I can still remember the outcry when Kimura Takuya announced his marriage in 2000. OMG, I never saw an uglier face of fandom than at this time. DIe hard fans who worshipped Kimura were yelling and ranting and telling everyone who would listen that Kimura sucked, SMAP sucked and it was over. Back then I was in the minority of fans that congratulated him and wished him happiness.
As for LMH (and other male and female stars) … it is really sad that they cannot live their lives according to their age. Society standards in Korea are already so restrictive due to traditions and conventions and having to hide a relationship or negate all feelings for someone just because of one’s profession is totally ludicrous.
In my case it doesn’t matter, haha π I’m still willing to become his girlfriend even if we can’t go out publicly and he will keep hiding me somewhere. Even if he will deny me to death.. haha It’s okay because we can still have date secretly and I can still hug and kiss me. π oh! my! I might die. haha
OMG… Were we really fangirling that much that Joonni had to create a space for us to do so …LOL I kind of feel guilty now, We’re sorry Joonni. :)… So thank you for taking care of us like this… Our own fangirling section….WOOHOO I like this π

Look at what you’ve done joonni, through “the faith” you have gathered us from all over countries, it’s our faith to meet here, in your blog, is it a coincidence? No, I believe it’s a faith.. ^ ^
There’s another joy, usually I watch, think ‘n ponder the drama by my own, but here, thank to you Joonni, we can share our laugh, tears ‘n excitement on “the faith”.
The reason of her few time of travelling journey is all about CY’s faith, and I can’t deny that we’re here caused most of us were huge fans of LMH, it’s a faith that was set up through Joonni ^ ^

I just realized it’s because he rarely shows so much skin on on his arms (you know, when he is not having a shower scene). Since he has worn so many formal, clean cut clothes for all his characters, it’s rare for me to see him in a t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up like that.
Thanks Joonni for taking care of us. I am a mature fanwoman from the US…really like this series. Love the two OTP couples. LMH really does have so much warmth, charm and an engaging personality. So as to not seem pervy I have to think of him in dog years. Hmmm!
Being mature myself, I can relate…except I’m not really lusting after him, it is more like he is such a bright light and I wish him well, like a favorite nephew. Why does it have to be about lust and age anyways. During the same month LMH was born, my life which had been very difficult, suddenly became much better, miraculous even. I went from being poor and really struggling to having a good job and then, out of the blue, someone GAVE me a purebred arabian horse who had been abused to rehabilitate. Getting that horse is one of the three best things that have ever happened to me this lifetime. So, on a cosmic level, I associate LMH with the auspiciousness of the universe. He just seems to be a bright light and I wish him well. ‘kay, I know that was crazy but I mean it in the best possible way. Old, young, it doesn’t matter.

btw, just want to comment too that KHS doesn’t look old and she totally look good with LMH..I can’t imagine anyone else playing the role of our dear Eun Soo but her..she totally owned it! LMH too! I read that other actors were considered at first to play the role of our General Young but like KHS, LMH is perfect for it..and and their chemistry is really something! Like you can’t seem to get enough of them when they are on screen..I totally love how they interact with each other on and off cam..I’m obsessing I know but I guess everybody here is ^^ what with the current development of our adorable OTP in the drama..wah I don’t want Faith to end!!

I think it’s matter of respect and our boy Young is so proper he’ll probably never call her Eun Soo unless they are truly intimate…physically and emotionally. Let’s see what happens in ep 21.

Haha, I know what Joonni meant by the other post exploding with fangirling. I woke up with 250 emails today which is a record so far. Lol.
I love LMH and KHS’ on screen and off screen chemistry. I never quite felt their age gap although my sis was grumbling on K-dramas going cougar. But with that in mind, I can’t help but feel that in a way, KHS is slightly cougar-ish and CY/LMH being the innocent/naive sageuk warrior who got tainted and corrupted by our beloved cougar noona ES in the beginning.
But EP 20 totally proved the reversal of roles now when CY/LMH was all RAWR with claws. Part of me wished that he actually lifted one leg on the table to make him seem like he is pouncing on ES/KHS but I’m sure her husband will protest.
Ah, our sleeping daejang finally grew up from being that giggling roll-on-the-bed warrior to a smoking sexy suave macho general that got me drooling all over my tablet. Sigh, one can only daydream. I do hope EP 21 won’t be followed by some lame intimate scene like what happened in Personal Taste.
For some reason, I find LMH chubbier in this drama compared to the others although he apparently lost weight. I do hope he gets back his hot bod and reward us with a topless scene. I don’t know if anyone noticed, but among all the woodalchis, they only showed Dol’s washboard abs. The rest were probably too skinny?

According to the story line, ES is supposed to be 33 and CY is supposed to be 29 so it’s fitting that she’s older than him in real life.
I think LMH looks fine but just needs to gain a little more muscle mass. His arms look good but his legs are too skinny. He did seem more sculpted in his previous movies. Like Softy has stated in some previous post, when LMH’s not working, lets himself go and gains weight around his face. But I think it’s fine because too many kstars are too skinny, manorexic to be exact. I’m sure in the celebrity world there’s a lot of pressure to look good and I hope no one ever has to experience eating disorders. I start to get concerned when I see stars lose and gain weight easily. We love LMH enough not to have him go through this, right, fangirls???

I think it’s his hair style cuz I don’t think he weighs more than any other time during his other dramas but his face does look larger in Faith in many angles.

His legs are somewhat proportionate to his upper body because he doesn’t look like a crab yet (ie, big upper body and legs which are too skinny) but I like it the way it is cos it makes his legs look lanky rather than have legs which makes the pants look way too tight that its bursting at the seams?
Going back to skinny jeans. I do love long legs on a man, but not everybody can pull of skinnys. LMH does look great in them! As far as the bod goes, go back to CH, he really showed off his toned muscles then!
Agreed! Remember that shower scene? It was fangirl heaven. I especially liked that he was muscled but overly so. Never been much of a fan of the beefcake look. Except maybe on Thor cuz the uber-muscles go well with The Sexy Accent. Lol.
