Park Se-young was on this week’s episode of the variety talk show, “Strong Heart,” and she is very different from Queen Noguk. Such a shy and bumbling girl. I’m surprised she delivered her lines so well as Queen Noguk because Park Se-young has that cute Korean girl tendency to mumble her words. Apparently, she has won a lot of princess contests since she was little. Girl was destined to play Queen Noguk. <3.

Oh yes he sure loves to give us some lip licking action now and then, causing momentary seizures worldwide. It’s like a plague but a good one. We don’t die from it but it causes hallucinations, erratic behaviors, seizures and occasional nose bleeds. Good luck to us all!

Hehe I bet his real sleeping face is not as hot but I think quite cute with mouth open, drooling, grinding his teeth and talking gibberish all night. (he mentioned in an interview) I’d be annoyed not being able to get any sleep but I will still find it most adorable.

How true! I put up with a lot more but if I wake up to Daejang’s face, I will let him continue his sleep because if he opens those dreamy eyes of his and stared at me, I would have major high blood pressure bursting all the blood vessels in my body!

@minozlove, you’ll have to make him sign a contract to work 24 hrs (remember araneta coliseum in phil, over 10,000 fans and people still outside waiting). can you imagine lines that long waiting outside your hospital? of course, as soon as they get treated, they go right back in line…poor baby….then he’ll end up getting sick, don’t worry, noona is here, i can take care of him, i’m available 24 hrs a day….
Imja yogi we will be a special unit of nurses who will take care of our Daejang while he takes care of us, yes, that will be a wonderful hospital…lots of youngaspirin and minoxy masks and of course CPR

This may be a very silly question. I noticed that in both Faith and Secret garden when a woman was kissed it in some way sealed their faith together as a couple. I thought that in Faith that was culturally so in old era but now in Secret garden it also seemed to signify exclusive relationship of some sort. Is that so in Korea these days, does a kiss immediately signify serious, exclusive relationship?
I also noticed in both dramas that when you want to talk to person in private you drag them for their hand. Is that common? I like it a lot :), I was just wondering if that is more only in the movies? Thank you so much
i have no idea for the present korea..but in the goryeo era maybe..hehe! about the dragging of ladies, i think its just common for the movies to drag along the ladies..i haven’t watched any kdrama where i didn’t saw that typical kind of gesture..but in real life, i don’t think so hehehe, there won’t be any girl who’d like to be dragged like that in public..
Jhen, what else should I watched? I only watched Faith and secret garden, that is not terribly heavy? I am still so sad over Faith being over. What do you suggest?

We are planning a family trip to Seoul next autumn/winter. Thinking of taking my son to see snow. To be honest I’d rather join you girls and go fangirling, stalking daejang and tag along to stalk Hyun Bin. *winks*

minozlove, i’m not sure if “aja” really mean anything but it’s use to lift someone’s mood. remember in epi19 when imja is teaching daejang heavenly words. the first one is “aja” while she’s making a fist.
also “yogi” means here. also in epi19 when daejang tapped his shoulder and said “yogi” for imja to rest in his shoulder.

Hi Jhen! Been busy with work. At the end of the day, when I realized I don’t get to fan girl here in Joonni’s playground, I get really sad. I am thinking of the yummy pictures and the funny comments I will be missing. To counter that, I make sure I play the Faith soundtrack while working. And when I have free time, this is the first website that I check out. So happy to have that free time now. I have tons of emails from friends that I haven’t checked. However, in my order of priorities, fangirling comes first. Ha!

Juliane, thanks for the new link. I could not access the FB link even though I have an account. Yes, some of the photos were really close. Did you move up closer or used a zoom lens? So the guys up there dressed as City Hunter were in a competition for men? How did you and Qurkstine manage to get so close to the stage? Do you happen to know when his next meet after Japan on December 2nd will be?
I looked at the Toyota web site about 10 days ago and the competition to win free tickets to see LMH in LA seems to have disappeared, and could not find any further information about it. Wonder if it has been put on hold?

We were close and we used zoom a lot. Juliane and I had standing patron tix which meant that we were positioned directly in front of the stage. In the beginning we were only a few feet from the stage, probably no more than 8 feet but as more people came in we got pushed out. As for me I couldn’t stand the heat and my legs were killing me so I deliberately moved away from the stage and only came closer when LMH finally came on.
you’re welcome. 🙂 yep. it was a competition. We lined up a bit early so we managed to get close to the stage and Quirk’s right as people come to fill up the venue we were pushed away. She and I were separated for quite some time. And I stayed in my spot and eventually because of the pushing and shoving of the crowd I was back even more close. 🙂

Ah CallieP! I sure wish he is coming to KL or SG. Seriously, I would be the happiest person alive but so far he and his management has only mentioned Japan in Dec and USA in Feb 2013. That is about all I heard for now.

I live in the Pacific NW, USA but I am going to K.L. in January. I am originally from KL. I don’t see any mention of the LA meet in February, the last time I checked the Toyota website though.
I see! I heard he will be having his first United States fan event in Club Nokia, Los Angeles, California in February 2013, sponsored by Toyota Camry though the time and date is still top secret. I don’t know how true it is but keep your fingers crossed.

I know they are different very different I think it helps a bit my melancholy about Faith to see him this childish at times. Faith is all different level of drama for me, and it will take a look to get over it but city hunter is so just fun at least in first 8 episodes that I saw
watch out for that “kissing scene” minozlove…i think he toned down his “kissing scene” in faith mindful of KHS husband. If he went all out, he may be shot…hehehe…
when you watch”personal taste”, you will be mesmerize by that “game over” kiss…his best yet…LOL….

OMG imja yogi you saved me, ah. Does “personal taste” have a good ending? I can not afford any more dying, I have to work :). Oh, I can not wait for Christmas break, I will rewatch all the Faith episodes again. I must say, that city hunter is so great, great, great for LMH addiction, AND I do not experience the chemistry between two two characters much so that is also good as I am still hearth broken over our imja couple. So it is a great feast without hearthache (at least not until episode 10)

Minozlove, after Faith, I’ve been trying to find something as good to watch and have come across some good kdramas: City Hunter (LMH, hotness on fire!), Personal Taste (funny but pointy (sad) too), Queen In Hyun’s Man (time travel–slow in beginning but gets great around episode 9 and worth sticking it out), You’re Beautiful (funny, cute and pointy), Damo (sageuk, beautiful-sad and has Ha Ji-Won from Secret Garden and plus I love the male lead character, Hwangbo Yoon), Flower Boys Ramen Shop (funny, fluffy and so much eye candy and Jang Il Woo and LMH are good friends), Shut Up Flower Boy Band (atypical Kdrama and great coming of age story). I think I’m ready to tackle another sageuk after Faith and Damo…Slave Hunters aka Chuno, so wish me luck and I’ve got my jumbo box of kleenex ready…ehehe. Can’t wait for LMH to return to the screen…he’s just so beautiful! BTW, Joonni has her top 10 fave kdramas of all time on her blog, page 20ish if you’re interested. *Hugs*

I was about to drop it too but decided to stick it out and it got better. The last 3 episodes and had me crying with sadness and whooping in happiness. If you want something funny but poignant, I suggest You’re Beautiful, if you haven’t seen it yet. I heard great things about Gentleman’s Dignity but haven’t checked it out yet but it will be after Chuno. 🙂

No, no shame at all! haha… I was watching Love Rain for JGS for awhile but I just completely lost interest because it was just moving too slow. There came to a point where I wasn’t even paying attention so I decided to drop it. You may want to try a few episodes to see if you are into melodramas. Who knows, perhaps you are one of them who will appreciate it.

I noticed that Protect the boss is a highly rated drama among viewers. But somehow, I didn’t survive past 6 episodes primarily because I didn’t like the lead actress. Maybe I should give it another chance since everyone seems to like it.
Yes it seemed Protect The Boss has good reviews. You should try it again. Initially I was skeptical about The Greatest Love but I watched it anyway and boy was I wrong. It is one of my favourite dramas now. 🙂

I am watching City hunter now, and he is absolutely great, but in Faith, this amazing tender love and chemistry between the two of them, it is so epic, it cuts to the very core of me in a way I can’t even explain. I SO miss them, and in some dream I imagine them doing more episodes of Faith. “sighs deeply too”
My hubs said the ending was way too abrupt, as though they were in a rush. It’s a pity because it could have been way better, he says. Ah well…nothing much can be done about it. I shan’t be greedy and will wait till the book is published. If I was a billionaire, I would pay them to shoot the omitted scenes and add a few more episodes. How wonderful would that be?
me too. i really hope writer Song gives us an amazing novel with all the deleted scenes plus more intimate scenes (kisses…hee). quite frankly, i don’t even know if that will help me move on. i think the only way would be for LMH to get back on screen STAT. getting into another drama with sizzling LMH is my best chance….ha!

i agree with you about CH. the mature and gradual love built in Faith is epic and nothing really come close. it makes CH’s love story looks like ‘puppy love’ if that. like you, i can’t explain how deep i’ve fallen in love with daejang and imja. i miss them everyday. i wish i could start a new drama in hopes that i can think of Faith a little less, but damn LMH is EVERYWHERE…how can i girl move on…LOL

I have been MIA from Joonni’s today trying to watch something else rather than stalk Daejang and watch episodes of Faith. I just completed a korean movie called “A Moment To Remember”. Was thinking I should start on a movie instead of a drama. It was really good. Cried bucket loads. My eyes are swollen now. The story is very touching and bittersweet. I give it a 9 out of 10.
So far, so good to moving on from Faith. Going to watch another movie tomorrow. I think by next week I will be able to watch a full length drama. Fingers crossed! Man, It isn’t easy to keep away from imja couple!

Oh, I saw ‘A Moment to Remember’ a while back. YJS and WSJ were really young in this movie, weren’t they? I think she was much younger than when she was in PT. Anyhow, I thought it was a really good movie too. It was so sad when she couldn’t remember him and called him the wrong name. Then her apologetic love note to him that instant she got her memory back for a short time. Oh, I cried so much **sobs just thinking about it**.
I seriously need to start watching another drama too. If only my head and heart would help me out…instead of always making me think of Faith.
So far the remedy is helping me let go of Faith. I don’t think so much of it now but who knows when I start to crave for imja couple again.
I watched Chilling Romance last night but preferred A Moment To Remember. It was beautifully made. Great cinematography, wonderful chemistry and impressive acting.

OMG…me too…cried a whole river. What a sad sad drama that was. Amazing acting jobs from both PSA and KRW. It was certainly touching to see how JH was devoted to taking care and loving SY whole heartedly till the end. I didn’t really care for him at the beginning, but he fought for her and stayed true to his heart, so he did win me over.
I thought the scene when he opened her robes for inspection after she showered was way over boiling point. I swear I was simmering. Imagining imja couple doing that……. *dies*

have fun watching QIHM. i haven’t see this drama, but i heard there are quite a few infamous kiss scenes (tip-toe kiss and the ending especially) in this one. hey, you can make it more enjoyable by reading the recaps Joonni did on this. well, let me know how you like it….especially the love story.
btw, AGD is pretty fluffy and cute. you should give it a try. it’s pretty funny and not really an emotional roller coaster at all, but quite the opposite. plus, JDG is pretty hot in this one. it also have a cutie from CNBLUE if you like that band.
AGD will be next on my list. been hearing that JDG is hot but i haven’t seen any of his drama. this will be my first. one of the CNBLUE member was on YAB i think, also in Heartstring if i’m not mistaken, not as hot as LMH but pretty good….thanks, gukja….
JDG is hot for an older actor. I love him in AAE (on older series which he’s much younger in it, but handsome nonetheless). Yes, Jung Yong Hwa of CNBlue from Hearstrings made a special appearance in AGD, but only for a few minutes. Unfortunately, NOBODY is as hot as HRH LMH!!! There’s also no character as hot and as badass as Deajang ***swoons***!

KHS said at the interview that “LMH is by far the nicest actor I’ve ever met”
After filming many many dramas, LMH is the nicest actor she has met, that speaks volume about LMH’s personality and the kind of person he is.
Another thing she said is that her husband did not like the way LMH looked at her and did not like them kissing. This shows that LMH’s great acting skill has managed to alarm KHS’s husband and to make him feel threatened. Probably that might be the reason why there was only one kiss and the director left out the second kiss that Song Ji Na wanted. That kiss would have to be very passionate and even more alarming to her husband. (hee! hee!) However she said he stopped watching so he would not know about the other kiss so they should have done it. He would not see their cuteness together and the Daejang almost kiss that was interrupted by Chong-suk either. I think that would make him even more jealous. The cuteness between the imja couple. I really hope they get nominated for best couple and win.

I am watching King of Dramas mostly because I am curious about what goes on behind the scenes while dramas are being made. I am enjoying it.
Joonni or Softy, I wonder if you know whether King of Dramas is an over exaggeration and not realistic version of behind the scenes scenarios or it might not be too far from the truth. Do some super stars behave like the two stars in “Gyeongkuang morning”? My impression is that most Korean stars work really hard and do not put on airs or act arrogant behind the scenes like in this drama.
However KHS said that LMH is the nicest actor that she has ever met so super stars may not be as unassuming and down to earth as LMH and there might be problems between actors and the crew or director because of ego, etc. What do you think?

Just watching episode 16 of city hunter, and I don’t understand why but I do not feel the chemistry between the two characters, I think I must be so deeply in love of our imja couple that it is hard to experience it for what it is rather than through the eyes of our couple oh dear
Oh minozlove, you’re truly hopeless…HAHAHA… Just kidding! The imja couple have raised the bar most couples in dramas can’t reach. Anyone hoping to get a good love story out of CH is sadly mistaken. You can only enjoy CH if you’re in it to watch LMH’s sexy and outstanding fighting skills, the plot, bromance and the twisted father/son relationship. At least you get so swoon throughout the series :P.
You are not the only one who felt that way. I too felt something was missing. There is no craving for each other nor the need to hold each other at all for them. No sexual tension, no desire and no addiction. Sad really. Which is why I watched it for LMH, the action scenes and the father and son relationship like what Gukja said.

I just rewatched ep 2 last night and noticed something I completely missed the first time around. You know Daejang’s infamous line ‘This is how the order goes.”. Well, it was ES who said it first. Right after Daejang told her to just leave him behind after she stabbed him, ES was the one that said “The order goes like this.” right after she told him to ‘shut up’ in English. Perhaps, uri Daejang’s infamous line came from Imja afterall? HA. Funny how we always notice something new the second time around. Well, thought I shared this with you.

I believe ep 2 is when Daejang first calls ES ‘imja’ too 😛
Made me think that this is how Song Ji-na speaks and she used it this structure for both characters.

you may be right. come to think of it, i think that all the female characters (ES, Noguk, Lady Choi, firelady, the suribang sister, even Deogi) portrayed in Faith are strong, independent and practical even. is this because Writer Song is strong and independent herself?

I actually remember in EP2….CY saying “the order of process, first you save the queen then I bring you back etc” when ES tries to get out of the surgery and was going to make a 911 call…, but also did remember ES saying how the order of things …”first I the doctor will save you and then if you want to die etc” after CY was stabbed LOL and he called her Imja few times there in the way back also same scene.
Oh shucks! I missed that too? Guess it’s a good enough reason for me to watch ep 2 again this weekend. Looks like I have to rewatch all 24 episodes umpteen times to ensure I get every little details…LOL
LOL. I am trying not to do it again. I did it over one weekend and noticed things like in EP1 when the queen was wounded and CY is sitting in a corner listening he is looking at MaeHee band in the handle of his sword, he touched it and broke my heart ! how sad! I guess the first time I watched it only though he was detached or not interested but then I knew the meaning booohoo.
AND I have to admit that I am not over Faith at all…. I still think about it and listening to the OST makes my mind flashback to specific scenes is crazy! That’s why I want the novel!
