Park Se-young was on this week’s episode of the variety talk show, “Strong Heart,” and she is very different from Queen Noguk. Such a shy and bumbling girl. I’m surprised she delivered her lines so well as Queen Noguk because Park Se-young has that cute Korean girl tendency to mumble her words. Apparently, she has won a lot of princess contests since she was little. Girl was destined to play Queen Noguk. <3.

This is really a silly question. but city hunter was so popular, how come people didn’t watch Faith more in Korea just because of that? I don’t get it, I would have given Faith rating of 2000 why only 10%? very strange I don’t get it
I guess it’s just like what LMH said once that your popularity as a celebrity is unpredictable. One moment you could be at the highest pinnacle and the next thing you know you could be plummeting without realizing. A lot of the Korean viewers thought the story line to be similar to QIHM, Dr. Jin and Rooftop Prince (time travel and such). So a lot didn’t bother watching which is kind of sad, really. I know I will give it a chance. All of us did and that’s why we love it and we are here talking about it.
Calling @Daejang Joonni, would you please help us Faithfuls confirm this from Writer Song’s website or somewhere. Thank you so much in advance!!! **hugs**
I Just saw this posted on Soompi by Sia3 regarding the novel:
“I just came back from another forum, with news regarding FAITH NOVEL!!!
The poster said some Korean fans have already gotten a peek into the content of the novel, a pre-sale copy of some sort that they must have gotten when SJN had a meeting with them on the 24/11. SJN tends to have a meeting with 드다 (I don’t know what this means) once a year. Other Faith casts present at the meeting on 24/11 include Lady Choi, Hwasuin, Choong Suk, Deok-Man and Deol Bae! Eeeek!!!!
The poster said the content of the novel covers a lot, e.g. story that is not included in the TV broadcast, more thorough description of the action scene, what the characters think (YES!). The novel is much more detailed with description such as how CY feels when he first met ES and regarding his master (the poster forgot the details… )
There will be a Faith novel signing event on the 15th December at 5-7pm.
Half of the time will be used for Q&A!
Therefore……… Faith Novel should be OUT before 15th December!!”
Cool! I am now able to read Hangul (and romanize/transcript) very well. Now I am building my vocabulary (most is to memorize). Long way to go to be able to read and understand well but if the novel becomes a reality I will buy it. I don’t think I would wait until it gets translated into english edition. Makes me more motivated to learn.
By the way “Otoke” (How?) 어떻게 the correct spelling is [eo-tteoh-ge] and “Yogi” (Here!) 여기 is [yeo-gi]

Since I still can’t seem to bid farewell to Faith and I’m dying to read all the goodies Writer Song will include in the novel, it will be an inspiration for me to jump start learning Hangul. It will probably take me forever due to life’s priorities, but I got to start somewhere right…hee!

Thanks! It does take time, I spend like 3 weeks practicing the alphabet and still have some confusion in some complex vowels.

At this moment If I watch a Kdrama for each sentence I might understand 2-3 words which is sad but every week I try to add more and more words to the vocabulary eventually I should be able to recognize enough to understand a sentence.

I think she is in a trance. I wouldn’t know what I’d do if I found Daejang riding the escalator right behind me. I have been thinking about our imja couple and why we still love them so much. For all its problems, Faith is a beautiful simple love story. Two people are attracted to each other, their love slowly grows, there is no game playing, no jealousy, no misunderstanding, just a steady progression of their love. Almost everyone there encourage and approve of their relationship even the king and queen. Choy Young is simple, honest, true, his love is deep and straightforward. Her happiness is most important to him. He is selfless. As for Eun Soo, that he lives is most important to her. Fans fell in love with their story. KHS and LMH has such a great chemistry that it makes their onscreen romance believable and so real. Choy Young’s quiet admiration and longing. His pent up feelings that finally rises to the surface, his simple answers like he would not be okay when she leaves or when he touches her shoulder when she asked him what he liked best. The simplicity of his love just causes everyone to swoon over their love story. The way Choy Young stares at Eun Soo, makes everyone ship their romance. LMH’s excellent acting makes this pairing a success. No wonder KHS’s husband feels threatened. Other love stories pale in comparision to this.

I recalled us gutterbuds talking about when we thought Daejang fell for Imja. I originally thought that it was in one particular scene, but now that I’ve rewatched Faith, I honestly feel that there’s no definite scene that can depict that.
As you watch the show you just realize one day that Daejang loves Imja. His feelings for her grew gradually and it never stop growing. From the beginning (ep 1 & 2) he was impressed by her surgical skills and her being a “Heaven’ Doctor. I think he was lost and confused with all her antics, gibberish, heaven language, wild cries, smiles and laughs, and weird behavior like her hair-o-meter. Ha. He came to know her caring, kind, soft and nurture side. He genuinely laughed and smiled because of her. At first he started out protecting her to honor his promise, but that was no longer the reason as time went on. She was the first person in 7 years to offer him her shoulder to lean on and for that brief moment he can put down the heavy burden on his shoulder and close his eyes. For all these reasons and more, he started to fall in love with her. I think in episode 8 when he surprised us all with his aspirin bottle and the yellow mum tucked inside we knew his feelings for her changed and that was the beginning of it all.
Oh uri Daejang…you made us all fell head over heels for you!
That is so well put Gukja. I am in love with their love. There is no words to describe this feeling, I am very comforted when I read these posts, I am so glad not to be the only one so deeply in love with them.
*sobs* I miss them a lot. Even more after reading this, Gukja. I tried to pin point the time when he fell for ES, the time when he called her imja and the time when he stared at her differently. It was all a gradual growth, like a seed being planted and growing naturally. Those moments when she told him not to die, handing over the aspirin, her hands brushing ever so slightly on his, the tingling feeling. The moment when she tugged at his sleeves, I am sure it sent electricity through his body. The moment when she touched his face to feel if he still had fever. Those times, he felt something for her and it showed in his face. For all those times he wishes death, she pulled him back and told him to live.
i missed the imja couple so much! *sobs* 😦
i don’t watch any sageuk drama until this time because there can never be any better sageuk drama for me other than Faith..

i’m susceptible to cough and colds and its the best remedy mom had made for me..i hate taking medicines when its over a week already that i’m not relieved..so, my mom used to made that for me..its kinda effective, just try it..just leave it covered overnight beside your window, then drink it first thing in the morning..don’t know the reason though, why my mom had to leave it overnight on the window but it helps me, so i just drink it without questions haha! hope it’ll help..
I agree with Jhen’s remedy… It really helps..If not lemon then try adding Ginger and elachi..and do some steaming..it helps remove the congestion.

All my hyun bin addiction came out again! hehehe. Now, I am worst… Suffering from LMH and HB addiction hehehe.
By the way, of haven watched World Within,.. It is a must… HB look SO SO handsome and hot in that drama 🙂 better be mentally prepared… There are a lot of scenes that will definitely take out your breath!

Have you all seen the location where the tomb of the real General Choi Young lies? It’s so weird that I have mix emotions while watching this. I feel a little sad that such a great historical figure died the way he did. On the other hand, I feel happy that uri Daejang LMH is still walking around alive in our world. My heart is racing for some reason. I am dying out of curiosity here, jhen! He is 11 years younger than me and he still manages to do this to me. A noona and almost ahjumma! What has he done in his past life to be blessed with such a nature? Save a country?
What about Park Min Young? Their agencies “admitted” to their relationship but later on retracted saying that the press misinterpreted their statement. He never talked about PMY, but PMY gave hints in some of her interviews. If ever they were really together, I think that’s why they broke up. PMY might have felt that LMH couldn’t stand up and go public about them. Again, agency concerns. Actually, I quite pity him because he can’t date as much as he wants to. He’s at the prime of his life but instead he’s burning himself out with the live shoots and promotions and fan meets. Though I know that he likes his job, I still wish he gets well-rested too for all the hard work and stress.
I couldn’t believe that he actually dated PMY. I think WendyM mentioned that they knew each other for a long time. Anyhow, I think they dated briefly. I recalled reading that both of their agencies came out acknowledging that fact after some videos came out showing them coming and going together to a restaurant or something (like that’s much of an evidence to begin with). Then when they broke up, the agencies came out with a statement that they decided to stop seeing each other due to scheduling…something about her busy filming Dr. Jin and LMH activities overseas. I believe this was right before he went to US for the filming of those Elders commercials with Yoona.
I just completed watching “The Greatest Love”. It’s a story about people in this sort of industry. Every single thing they do is controlled by the agency. Whatever they say during interviews is planned and scripted. Right up to their relationships with their loved ones. If you look at the situation between PMY and LMH, PMY has to brave public scrutiny and because LMH is a halyu top star. His fans are his ‘mother in-law’. Even though there are some fans out there who wishes him the very best, there are some who will be awful and make whoever his partner is, suffer. So you see, you can’t have the best of both worlds. He loves his work and he can’t help being famous. I guess to survive this, he has to find someone who is not from the same industry. Even so, that person has to be at par with him if not even better than him. *sigh* Poor guy. He really would like to date. We hear it spoken of many times during his interviews.
Hmm..you know. He might say that at fan meets during interviews that he wants to date or whatnot, but I truly think he enjoys being single right now, especially since he’s still so young and currently has so much going for him as a mega star. He still wants to improve and widen his acting career further at this point while fans are still starving for him worldwide. His career is in its prime right now if you ask me.
I think if he mentioned date means date randomly. Nothing serious at all. Basically someone other than his guy mates whom he could hang out with. Not to the point of getting married and starting a family.

thank you for asking. i’m slowly feeling better, but the stubborn cough is still fighting to stay. i also tried the lemon extract with tea jhen suggested today. thank you for your tip on the ginger with hot water. i will grab some from the store tomorrow and try that. i wanted to get some at the market during lunch today, but was too busy. even my lunch was a ‘working’ lunch (arrrghhhh).

as for dramas well so far i tried watching soo many new ones but nothing caught my fancy at all.
So i decided to go to my “must see” list and start crossing them one by one..
I will first finish gaksitaaaaaallll…So laid back on it as I am not able to sit and see it in one go..too much intensity.. off..
Then maybe I will catch up some movies then finally jump the drama wagon..

wow, you sure have a lot of ‘lists’. good for you. there are some dramas and movies that i want to watch, but since i haven’t start making a list (planned to just never got to it for one reason or another) i tend 2 forget which ones…hehe. since i have a membership with DramaFever, I just go there and select something to watch.
good luck with Gaksital. i tried a few episodes and got annoyed with the lead actress, so i dropped it. the drama overall didn’t catch my attention for the most part. i hope you have some time to watch everything you want and cross them off your list for the e new year:).

Unlike Faith, Chuno is generous and showcases a lot of naked chiseled bodies…Oh Ji Ho, Jang Hyuk, Kim Ji Suk and Han Jung Soo. ***Swoon***

Been planning to soak in bunch or all of RDH works. His acting skills shine through. Couldn’t get enough of him in Faith (as with all of them there too). I always thought his role (King G) was hard to portray. That he had to show “controlled” fear, hidden anguish, “facelifted” insecurity, even as he struggled to impose his crown, almost without aid of speaking lines – tough act! Yet, he pulled through.
Also curious about the real King G’s paintings or artworks. Are these well-curated (is that the correct term?)?
Or displayed in museums in Korea? I hope to see all those someday, up close.
“Faith” made me more interested in Korea history /culture. I am eating more & more kimbap & chapchae too 😉
***But must add, the “King 2 Hearts” gives vivid faces & voices to the hope of many for the North & South (which I would otherwise only see in the news).

I just completed The Greatest Love. It’s really a feel good movie with occasional comedy and a few tears here and there. If you have watched Couple Or Trouble, it’s similar in terms of romantic comedy and some crying involved. I haven’t started on any new dramas yet but I will give CA a shot once more episodes are aired. May just begin on Goong next week, and watch movies for now. Need a break because I still have Faith at the back of my head.
