Keeping the Faith 6
Hello everyone!
What a week it has been! I caught a cold which gave me time to catch up on dramas, namely Cheongdamdong Alice, My Daughter Seoyoung, and Missing You. Actually it was more like I actually got to see them the day the aired instead of weeks later. Yay for cold and bed rest! Missing You continues to be strangely addicting and I’m happy to report that Jung-woo has stopped being grabby and started giving Soo-yeon her space. My Daughter Seoyoung is your typical weekend family drama but since it is typical, as usual it’s perfectly addicting (my Park Hae-jin!). Alice, I’ve written about in a separate post.
I’ve also had time to do some pleasure reading and I’ve taken up “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.” As you may have guessed, it’s a biographical portrait of Abraham Lincoln and his cabinet, and I call it a pleasure reading because Doris Kearns Goodwin, the author, writes in a very simple and clear prose. I expected dense and convoluted history but the book is engaging without being superfluous. I highly recommend it for an informative and enjoyable read.
I also read the shoujo “Say ‘I love You’,” which is such a typical shoujo with the most popular guy in high school falling in love with the outcast girl because of her roundhouse kick to his face. It’s very unoriginal and the mangaka just jumps to the message of the week without developing a very good story; yet, I devoured it. I can’t help it; I’m a sucker for shoujo.
Another thing I fangirled this week was Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love.” Plain and simple, it’s just a good song. Originally by Bob Dylan.

Apparently, half of volume 2 will contain stuff that didn’t happen in the drama. The writer says she keeps adding things, too, so maybe the series will be longer than 4 volumes… who knows.

no there is definitely no moving on! LOL!!!!! i am resigned to the fact that i will not be able to let go until i read all volumes of the book may it be 4volumes or more. until then i am stuck! and even after i read the book, i will still rewatch FAITH just like what I am doing with my other fave show Secret Garden!

I am a bit worried? about myself, since I’ve been reading the book on the weekends I do nothing but think of Faith or study Korean in my free time. I am taking a break after reading the last part of Chapter 6 and watch episodes 1-4 to compare to my notes LOL. I am seriously a bit worried that the book 2 would send me the asylum. Maybe next door is FilchiNY and you down the same side of the cells so we could still talk about it 😉

Still no news for an English version. Awrghh. But I am hopeful! : )

Hi everyone, OMO here I am finally. I just arrived to Seoul, and I am sitting here in my palace of a hotel room, omo, I have never seen this sort of a room with a washing machine ha ha ha. Wendy, there is a washing machine :):):). As far as I am concerned, I am moving in and never going back to US :):):). ANY hotel room that has a washing machine included, is a palace for me ha ha ha. I LOVE washing clothes, omo if I knew this I would not have brought any clothes at all :):):). I am going to spend few days now enjoying reading here, omo so happy to be able to join joonni’s again.
Yesterday when we were in Pusan I saw HBin’s add on the side of the buss, I went nuts (applebox this is just for you :). Went nuts in your name, started shouting in the car, uri driver got worried that something happen. ha hah ah
THen, on the ride from Busan to Seoul today, in the train there was a magasine. Ha, guess who is in it, uri LMH, ha ha ha, comercial.I will take a picture and send it to you. And two otehr guys we know.
I just put a TV on, they are playing “The greatest love” on TV, ha ha ha nice welcome home. Then the guy from gentleman’s dignity just did a perfume commercial SK 2, omo I am just sitting here and laughing like crayji. Love you all 🙂

I’ve read a news that LMH is going to release an album and he’s gonna have a tour. 🙂
here’s a translated version of the news:
Actor Lee Min Ho is going to release his first album.
Lee Min Ho’s agency stated on March 14th, “In the coming month of May, Lee Min Ho’s special album will be released worldwide, and around the end of May, he will begin his world live tour starting with Korea.” Although there were times before when Lee Min Ho sang live in front of his fans at his fan meetings, this will be his first time officially releasing an album of his own.
This album was not created to show that he will debut as a singer but rather for fan service. Lee Min Ho received many love calls from not only within Korea, but from various countries, and they are planning to fulfill those requests. Also, this special album took 2 years to complete. In addition, some of the profits that will be made from the album will be donated to charity to spread the love.
Ever since Lee Min Ho held his fan meetings, he did participate in producing some of his songs and show performances, but he wasn’t able to provide music service nor appeared in any TV programs which made the fans eager for him to see him more. Ever since Lee Min Ho’s popularity arose from appearing in ‘Boys Over Flowers’ and ‘City Hunter,’ he received many love calls not only from Asia, but also countries from Latin America, Middle East, Europe, etc.
Along with Lee Min Ho’s love tour, he will release his own album in May and will start his event in Korea first, and then go across 10 different cities within China, Japan, Thailand, Philippines, etc. A representative of his agency revealed that the tour will end in July and will be a live talk show concert.
Lee Min Ho commented about his music album, “My goal is to become a great actor, and I do not have any plans on debuting as a singer, but rather wanted to show my gratitude by giving a gift to my fans who have continuously supported me,” and, “I will do my best to come back as quickly as possible with a new acting project. I appreciate your big support and love.”
A representative of his agency commented, “We’ve been continuously getting requests about adding songs that were sung by him from previous performances, and we also wanted to add new songs which was why it took us 2 years to complete this album,” and, “Since he doesn’t officially plan on promoting his music, he plans on promoting his songs by showing live performances in front of his fans.”

I have not figured out any mechanism for subtitles, but I am still watching it without it, I understand every time they say my 5 korean words I know ha ha ha but I don’t care, I am having a blast putting TV on and listening our fantastic language. I told you! Check the options it might be a washer/dryer in one unit since my hotel room had that, was nice to watch/dry without moving the clothes.
