Live Recapping “Trot Lovers”

It’s exhausting, but I missed live recapping dramas. The excitement, the anticipation, and the community. Fortunately, a drama has come along that seems light, fun, and easy, and just seems perfect for me to ease back into recapping.
I’ll be live recapping “Trot Lovers” which premieres in less than 24 hours on KBS. It stars Ji Hyun Woo, Jung Eun Ji, Shin Sung Rok, and Lee Se Young in a story about a narcissistic hotshot singer falling in love with a quiet, unsophisticated, trot singing young woman. It’s city meets country, pro meets amateur, young woman finds success while a hot snob falls in love with her and changes for the better story. It’s got the “Daddy-long-legs” figure in Shin Sung Rok and the jealous, evil, “I want to scratch her eyes out” secondary female lead in Lee Se Young. Completely predictable, completely traditional, but like that homemade dish your mom always knows to make for you on a bad day, it is just what you need when you’re feeling drained by highly anticipated but disappointing dramas.
I plan to take it easy with this drama, avoiding the sleepless nights of recapping all night long, but you guys know me- once I fall, I fall deep. Crossing fingers for my own sanity.
And welcome back, Ji Hyun Woo! I loved your Kim Boong Do from “Queen In Hyun’s Man” so much that it lead me to create this blog and start recapping. It’s been a little over two years since. Maybe you’ll be putting a spell on me again this time too. I already love your hair and how chiseled you look.

I wish i could be that excited… but because of the JHW YIN break up i was kinda disheartened. I would not watch it live but i will follow your recap, thats what i can promise you. 😉
That news was a little sad for me too but a relationship so young surviving the military time and distance had such a little chance to survive. Just wishing the two the very best now. 😀
