Character Synopsis and Second Trailer for “Nice Guy”

The official English-language title for the upcoming KBS drama, “Nice Guy,” (full title- “No Such Thing as a Nice Guy”) is “Innocent Man,” which really doesn’t imply the same thing. The Korean title is sarcastic while the English title sounds so earnestly serious.

“Nice Guy” Sets Air Date, Song Joong-ki and Park Si-yeon as a Campus Couple

Mark your calendars! Nice Guy has finally set a solid air date, September 12. It airs on KBS after Gaksital ends its run. In addition to this good news, KBS also released some stills of an absolutely adorable looking Song Joong-ki (as Kang Maru) enjoying a campus date with Park Si-yeon (as Han Jae-hee) before she got all betrayal-y and he got all revenge-y. Park Si Yeon Sets Sail for Instyle

I said I’ll take what I can get. While looking up news for the upcoming September drama Nice Guy, I came upon these latest photos of Park Si Yeon for the August issue of Instyle Magazine.

Park Si Yeon will play the role of “Han Jae Hee” in Nice Guy, who betrayed the man she loved for revenge. Park Si Yeon has definitely improved since playing the hateful secondary lead in My Girl (2005) and I loved her a lot in Coffee House (2010) as the confident and capable editor. So I’m looking forward to what seems will be a femme fatale role in Nice Guy. And boy can she pull it off.

“Nice Guy” Holds First Script Reading

The drama gods heard my prayers. I just complained in my previous post that that we weren’t getting any updates on Nice Guy and now we have news that the cast just held their first script reading. Nice Guy is an upcoming KBS melodrama penned by Lee Kyung Hee (Will It Snow on Christmas) and tells the story of a man named Kang Maru (played by Song Joong Ki) who gave up everything for his girlfriend Han Jae Hee (Park Si Yeon), only to be betrayed by her. He later gets his revenge by using Seo Eun Ki (played by Moon Chae Won), who gets caught up in a “fateful storm-like love.”
