Random Thoughts: On Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na
I was actually watching “Mr. Idol” when I read the news about the photos. Watching the movie was a strange experience because I didn’t know that just watching Ji Hyun Woo moving on my screen would make me grin from ear to ear. All I had to do was see his face and I was mesmerized. I actually don’t consider myself a huge fan of Ji Hyun Woo compared to some other people but obviously, this man does something to me. 😀
It felt like the stars were aligning today for me. I had just finished uploading the English subs for the radio show, reveling in the fact that Yoo In Na said she prefers a direct confession. I mean, this couple! They meet at a radio show in January (I know that it wasn’t the first time they met), start filming a drama together, then do a radio show together when one of the topics happen to be about confessing, they finish the drama, and the guy confesses directly in public! Then I see the photos. Oh goodness, I thought my heart would burst. I was so excited, I could barely type. Seriously, you should have seen my hands.
Of course, the Korean media are demanding official statements from the couple. At this point, I don’t care if we don’t get official statements from either Ji Hyun Woo or Yoo In Na and their respective agencies. I think the pictures are enough proof and to see them happy together satisfies me.
Maybe it’s better that Ji Hyun Woo is going to the military soon? During that time, the media will lay off them and grow disinterested, and the couple can date long distance in peace.
I’m comforted by the fact that if these two started to date after the confession, she knew Ji Hyun Woo was going to the army soon, so she knew what she was getting herself into. Hopefully both of their feelings will only grow during the time apart. I don’t wish this just because they are the InHyun couple, but because people in love and loving each other is simply a wonderful thing.
So I have nothing but best wishes for this couple. I hope everything works out well for them. I won’t let myself think and worry about a future I can’t predict.

This is actually one of favorite photos of them from all those wonderful BTS pictures of episode 12…I love how they are turned away from us. It’s like they only have eyes for each and don’t give a damn about whose watching. It’s been my wallpaper actually for some time.

Thank you for writing, joonni. Always love your creative juices! You’ve written your thoughts well while I could not do anything all morning, just looking at the news, grinning from ear to ear and reading all the people’s comments congratulating them. LOVE is indeed in the air!
That ugly jaded part of me keeps saying this will be difficult for them, being in public eyes so much, this happines might not last, he is going for army soon and 2 years distance relationship is difficult etc etc, BUT yet, I think I’ll enjoy life as it happens and be happy for them now and trust that they will work out things on their own. JHW said he confessed because he has confidence to make it happen (date publicly). So I believe whatever happen in future, they will work it out together. All my blessings for them!
Agree 110%! hehe. Long distance relationship is very difficult. I was in it for 4 years when I was dating my hubby (he was miitary), but we survived and our relationship is still going very strong (been together for 11 years total). If they get through the long distance, I truly believe they will come out stronger. Good luck to them!
Yeah, Ning, you’re right. I keep thinking about how he’s younger than her (28 to 30), how being so public with their relationship isn’t going to work out well or it’s just post-show infatuation which isn’t going to last.
But as long as they’re together, I’m gonna support them, because how far they’ve come (especially after her confession on “Raise the Volume”) makes me believe that if anyone can do this, they can. And she has thought about pretty much all of these problems, and believes that it’s gonna work out. Enough to make a confession that would be so much easier for her career if she hadn’t. So perhaps just perhaps, it will work out. I’ll keep supporting them regardless! FIGHTING!
Wow…first of all, thank you Jooni for your kind words. When I saw your Reel to Real post, instead of squeeing, I quietly smiled to myself. I’ve been watching K-dramas for almost 5 years now and I’ve never been so moved by two individuals whose performance created such a deep impression with me, where I too questioned, is this brilliant acting or life imitating art? The minute I saw your post, I knew I had to post a comment and what immediately came to mind was Hee Jin’s voiceover. I thought, how appropriate. Perfect! I believe that I was inspired by your previous post entitled, “Letters of Goodbye: To “Queen In-Hyun’s Man”. I thought it was brilliant (LOVED it!) and I too am going through serious QIHM withdrawals. Kim Boong Do (Ji Hyun Woo) has ruined me–but in a good way. And while I will still continue to fall and be lured helplessly into the K-drama fantasy world (my perfect escapism from reality), QIHM (Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na) will forever live in my heart!
BTW, I really enjoy your blog (and your YouTube video posts) and will continue to follow you. I am currently watching Ghost and Big and so far, both are helping me deal with my QIHM withdrawal. Keep up the wonderful work! =)

I had a plan. And that plan was to stay away from the internet for 4 days starting from last Friday. The plan was going quite well then this hit my Twit feed and I’m crazed!!! Totally had to blog about it and I’m gonna paste on what I wrote there b/c my coherency is only capable of so much in light of this!

So glad you posted the news…Ive been squeeling my behind all day during work! XD I havent been in a proper internet all weekend and saw facebook this morning, SO, WORTH, IT….Im happpy spazzing about these two. I have never shipped any Korean celebrities dating before (even lee min ho and the girl in City Hunter or Hyun-bin and Song He-gyo). But these two had some sizzling chemistry during filming. Now i can quietly support them in peace and fulfilled. We should all give them space…and I totally agree that him going to the army is also a good thing and an advantage, they’ll be away from prying eyes fr the public. We can safely say her Radio talk about meerkats could be hinting to JHW right? XD and I guess im just left wondering how WGM is taking all this ( not to mention the would-have-been onscreen husband) lol. But hey, speculations aside if they will make it till the end under public scrutiny, ur right abt that “we shud not worry abt a future that we know nothing about”…lol..But I cant help wonder, what a great story to tell their kids one day how they fell in love huh?!?! I also like that their agencies are basically saying we are staying out of it. They keep outsiders outside and are silently leaving the couple alone in their bubble.^_^….I wish them well, and now will silently ship them forever…

She asked him to giver her time till the end of the drama, since she was not sure about her feelings towards him and asked him not think about their personal feeling till the end as well.
He agreed to it.
The whole announcement at the fan meet was not planned
She asked him why he did it and he told her for once in his life he wanted something so badly that he just had to say it
She said that she happy and stunned at the same time when he told her and she could tell he was DEAD serious about it because of the look in his eyes
She asked him for a week to sort out her feelings and he told her that he understood and that he will give her the time.
She said she thought about it and if she can receive this king feelings from someone and working the acting industry as well. but when she thought about their feelings for each other the answer was pretty simple.
She called him the day before yesterday and met up at the park to tell him, that the InHyun’s man is over and to start as YIN’s man.
She thanked him for giving her the time to think about it and being understanding even though it was hard on him.
They knew that they were being photographed and that’s why she did the whole V-Sign, since they were going to announce it anyway also she liked how the picture came out.
She said that she liked him and hopefully date happily/pretty as well.
There was nothing to hide because she was going to announce it anyway, just that she wanted to tell her listeners first and get their blessing and happiness.
She said that she likes him, and thanked him for giving that believe to her as well.
Lastly she said if JHW was listening to radio (which i’m assuming he is or is there with her) that he has to give up smoking, since it is not good for you. ( Im guessing this is the deal, i come out and clear the air and you give up smoking).

JHW oppa and YIN unnie has made my delusions come to reality. It never occurred to me that something like this would actually happen. It’s nice to know that both feel the same way towards each other. They are both lovely people that deserves love from others and I’m glad that they found that “special love” from each other.
This seems so surreal but for the first time I found the so-called “reality” so beautiful and inspiring instead of being dull and harsh. In fact, this made me cope faster with my withdrawals towards the drama because now I’m assured that this couple are for real and not only reel… 🙂
