Keeping the Faith 6
Hello everyone!
What a week it has been! I caught a cold which gave me time to catch up on dramas, namely Cheongdamdong Alice, My Daughter Seoyoung, and Missing You. Actually it was more like I actually got to see them the day the aired instead of weeks later. Yay for cold and bed rest! Missing You continues to be strangely addicting and I’m happy to report that Jung-woo has stopped being grabby and started giving Soo-yeon her space. My Daughter Seoyoung is your typical weekend family drama but since it is typical, as usual it’s perfectly addicting (my Park Hae-jin!). Alice, I’ve written about in a separate post.
I’ve also had time to do some pleasure reading and I’ve taken up “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.” As you may have guessed, it’s a biographical portrait of Abraham Lincoln and his cabinet, and I call it a pleasure reading because Doris Kearns Goodwin, the author, writes in a very simple and clear prose. I expected dense and convoluted history but the book is engaging without being superfluous. I highly recommend it for an informative and enjoyable read.
I also read the shoujo “Say ‘I love You’,” which is such a typical shoujo with the most popular guy in high school falling in love with the outcast girl because of her roundhouse kick to his face. It’s very unoriginal and the mangaka just jumps to the message of the week without developing a very good story; yet, I devoured it. I can’t help it; I’m a sucker for shoujo.
Another thing I fangirled this week was Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love.” Plain and simple, it’s just a good song. Originally by Bob Dylan.

Aigooooo I am SO SO SO HAPPY to hear that, yes, grey matter invasion, habituation in my line of work. OH I LOVE IT, yes, slowly, slowly we will win this battle. YES, all of the AAK ICU spouses are with you in this, as soon as we crack one, we will move onto next one. I am very,very sloooooooowly getting my “sarangeo” form hubby, traded it for Spanish tutoring. By all means necessary :), I will even trade S____ favors, aigoooo, running of to the corner now, more cold water, toilet, my daily routine is between kitchen, work and toilet, maybe not in that order 🙂

Yes, ice skating, Winter Olympics & other competitions…. I will try to post videos…..I had to research about her when I first saw this Smile Boy vid….She’s with LSG doing other ads, I think, more than 2x or once….but if I were her, I would have this huge crush already on LSG, would make all the moves so I can make him like me too…… Ahhhiieeesshh

How in the world did chat rooms became toilets, or toilets became chat rooms, is mind-boggling, huh?!
But, there’s always a first time 😉 I missed that night. Can’t stop laughing trying to imagine every acrobatic move a chatTer has to do to send out comments, from such a cozy place as the bathroom 🙂
At work for sure comes in handy….bathroom and smartphones! Flashlight was a novel idea I have mine ready for this Friday!

ladies….may i suggest using your smart phones. it is easier to handle plus no flashlights needed then if couaght you can cover up by ating like you are talking to someone on the phone! LOL!

Aigoo! apple box our chat last sunday was full of laughter..it was already late AM when we chatted..@imja yogi had to use the flash light just to see her keyboard coz she doesn’t want to put the lights on so as not to woke her AAK ICU patient who was already fast asleep. LOLZ! Then minozlove’s AAK ICU patient already imposed on her to sleep on or before midnight, so she had to sneak up to the toilet to chat just to save her marriage.

Exact phrase I gathered when I scrolled up. I haven’t read all yet. But I somehow saw this phrase, this mother-of-all-punchline of a phrase! Buddies, if I didn’t know about the toilet backstory, I would have suspected the flashlight in this phrase is for something else “intimate” or “teasing” (whatever, I mean you know, whatever in the context of marriage!)

It’s like this allergy attack, certainly a “can’t-help -it-moment”!
OMO, so my hubby got a bit tired of me laughing and watching Kdramas, and AAK allergy really shot through the roof. So he told me that I now can not utter one thing Kdrama, or joonni or anything K related (he is now in ICU, I put him on KHS mask), and told me I have to be in bed by midnight. So I panicked when we had our date on Friday, omo, how am I going to laugh. And I laugh so loud, my stomach muscles hurt. So I was so happy to go to work retreat (remember, running down the hill). So on Friday night Imja yogi, Jhen, FilchiNY and were on yahoo messanger laughing like crazy and Imja yogi said that she will be right back after she grabs the flashlight. You can imagine the burst of laughter/jokes that caused. So she even gave us instructions on charging the batteries etc. She told us that flashlight works better than being in the bathroom as the hubby can not see the light and therefore will not know that we are here giggling like crazy. So we now adopted that practice as a further effort towards marital harmony
minozlove when you are in the toilet imja yogi reminded you not to forget to flush the bowl. LMAO!

I am sitting next to my AAK ICU patient, so I have to laugh with caution. He got some terrible reaction to some medication that dermatologist gave him so when I came home he had this most colorful (who knows where in the world he found this) pajamas on, and with very pained look on his face. So I want into my protective mode and announced: I will handle this Korean style, I will find this darm derm guy and kick him in the shin, then I laughed and laughed, and he said: Sweetie what is with violence, aigoooooo, I died laughing, I felt saying, there is more, I Will tell derm guy: you want to die? But then, I just gave him big hug, and left Korean antics to us 🙂

My beautiful FilChiNY thank you so much, you are so sweet, yes, I took my AAK patient to see MD, he got some nice creams and meds, so I didn’t have to impart any violence on MD, he saved himself :).
Minozlove I hope your AAK ICU patient is alright now. Allergic reaction once put me in a hospital and on a month long treatment with steroids and heavy antihistamine shots. I could have frontal attacked someone but was too weak to even koala anything with reaction like second degree burns. Seriously considered ‘Painted Skin’. I worry for you hubby. Take care! WOW, Gukja, million thanks, this is amazing, this is exactly what I mean about LMH. All the other guys, I imagine just jumping on them, but with uri LMH, he is like a divine being, everything having to do with Faith is like a magic world to me, so all I can think at seeing him is fainting (what a super useless reaction, the worst of them). Wow, who is the artist here? He and our imja, they look divine, beyond words. At the edge of relapse…
I may not faint, but I would just admire LMH/KHS from a distance. Lucky you Minozlove, you’re going to see LMH for real! I hope if I come across LMH in Korea, I would recognise him. I remember once I came face to face with Andy Lau, I did not recognise him. He held the door for me and I said thank you. My mom followed, he held the door for her, we both said “thanks, you are very kind”. Then I told him not to let go of the door because my dad was also coming in. He smiled and frowned and continued to hold the door. Then we all thought he looked familiar. My dad was the first one to realise who he was after he had driven away.

Oh, my patient is doing much better as well, he is entertaining me with his chatter about Spanish, so sweet, but I can’t concentrate, I had to convey this marvelous news to you. Also, I got a call from a jewler, my necklace is done. Wow, so I will be giving you the story and picture of it. I can’t wait to see it :).
I was talking about all of you tonight at the business dinner of all things, and one thing that sticks in mind so much is how much I just LOVE to be with you here, chatting, laughing, so happy. 🙂
GREAT NEWS INDEED! oh minozlove, i’ve been working on the poster. 2 of my friends couldn’t make it. so what is happening now is they are asking their friends & acquaintances. so i’m waiting to hear from them. the difficulty is that we just finished Fashion week. most of the people i know are in this field. and most of them went on vacation to relax after work such grueling hours. i will know soon. what i need yo to do is choose a pic of LMH in his Faith character that you want on the poster. I can’t help you there since I am not a collector. You can ask Gukja or the other Faithfuls at the other site to help you out. They have a treasure trove of LMH pics. I suggest just do LMH on the poster without KHS since it is more of a LMH fan meet and not a FAITH fan meet. but since we love him in FAITH it would be good to portray him in the role we so love. also it would be good if it is a full head to toe pic with long hair please. I love him with his long curly hair. but it is up to you since you or CallieP will get to keep that poster if it is ever done. nothing is sure yet. but i am hoping to find at least one person to do it. this week i promise. 🙂 WOO HOO! you are going for real!!!!!!
FilChiNY, Oh My God, you are really really amazing. Oh, I am so sorry to even mention it, I don’t want to bother your friends, I can tell this is a hard week to ask people to help. Please let us give them the well deserved break :), I will find a nice picture, and send it to you, but please do not stress yourself over it, we will have lovely time poster no poster, please do not worry. Oh, when CallieP called me this evening, I was at the business dinner, my dear colleague and my director and I. When I saw CallieP’s number I just jumped off the chair, and started dashing towards the door, then I realized I didn’t even excuse myself, I was that super excited. Aigooooo, really, when I got back they asked if something terrible happened. What to say, business meeting :). I told them about the fan meeting, and about you guys, they couldn’t believe that I have e-coffee shop friends, they absolutely couldn’t believe it and were very touched with how much this friendship means to me. didn’t see shining inheritance. not a fan of LSG and also don;t like that lead actress. i dislike her and arang. and won’t see any series or movie with them in it.
as for my day, i have yet to calm down from being upset. i actually am calmer now after seeing the movie “Gone with the Wind”. It’s a Korean movie kinda like Ocean’s Eleven. it has everything, comedy, romance, action drama. but it is more of a comedy. there were some hysterical scenes. so i will be fine.

and no worries minozlove, it’s my fault i forgot to update you. i told you last week, i think that i’ll know by tomorrow. yet i forgot to mention that my other friend couldn’t do it as well. if we can;t do the poster, then you can just make a banner with korean writings to it welcoming him and whatever message you want him to know….only clean thoughts though..LOL! you don;t want to scare him away and be led away by his bodyguards ROFL! for this you can ask your teacher to do it for you. make it colorful and interesting so LMH will notice 🙂
Exactly, aigoooo, I can not be thrown out due to bad thoughts on the poster, that would really be a tragedy, to come so close and remove myself due to xrated message, I don’t think that my one taekwandoo move would help me either. I better have a good leash around me, I already told CallieP if I faint just kick me aside (preferably next to a wall so I don’t get trampled on) and keep taking pictures and videos as we have social responsibility here to all of you 🙂

Minozlove has already updated you on the confirmation. There will be three games that attendees can participate in. Winners will get a chance to win a raffle for a photo opp or autograph of LMH. Then at 5 pm LMH will show up. The One and Only episodes will be shown and LMH will do a Q & A session. Finally the photo sessions for lucky raffle winners. Any burning questions for LMH if we have a chance to send in a question? That is the event schedule. Ticket winners will have to send their photo and a badge will be issued. Really looking forward to it. I want to see if LMH really looks better in person as Softy says. He already looks perfect on the screen, now for the 3D version. 🙂

LSG first big concert in Japan, June last year.
I did see some songs / clips of this famously daebaK concert over youtube, but it is only now that I saw this, entire thing!!! I wasn’t even expecting it cuz it is such a rare find, really.
Love his hair here. He did this concert just after concluding TK2H filming, so, there, you now I love Jae Ha more than i love LSG ;-), just everything about him.

Jhen, I was crazy as hell about MinHo (since years ago) like you girls can never ever imagine. I had to fall for LSG and others, just to cope…It was so hard to be crazy about him at the time I wasn’t on wiFi yet, when I wasn’t on this blog yet, when nobody at home could relate to how it is to long for MinHo in the middle of the night…..Those were the days of BOF, PT, CHunter. And until now, I cannot bring myself to watch Faith again as I am fearful of a relapse! I missed work when it ended, did I mention? …….I am saying this to you, who I know is a loyal LMH fan, to assure you on your birthday, that my love for LMH is a cut above all my other “loves”, if you know what I mean. I wish I didn’t have to choose (if dramas are same time slot, etc), but if I have to, I will choose LMH, without batting an eyelash. I am hopeful he will get the drama/movie that will cull out the “rest of the best” in him!
OMO apple box we are all the same, I just wrote that he is above them all, sort of like a Kdrama guru, and the rest, well, they are in the rest category (very handsome, and give them to me now category) but LMH is definitely one and only. I can not imagine having to be the fan all by yourself Apple Box, and like you, I am so worried of faith relapse. Just listening to the Faith CD all in one sitting again is getting me totally crazy 🙂
Indeed, it was awful, to be a fan by my lonesome. I didn’t have wiFi then, only occasional online search (as work was very heavy then)…. and no one, no one else could relate to me. I couldn’t buy any magazine or news materials about them too. Nothing’s available. It felt like he was an earthling and I was someone from Neptune. So far…so indisposed….how did I even survive ?!
I was just a great stalker of him before. LOLZ! With no one to talk to about him. I can never count how much I have watched BOF, Personal Taste and City Hunter at those times. Then youtube, wiki, google and asianwiki were my bestfriends before haha! They are the best source of information about him way back then when I still doesnt know about joonni’s and other blogsites featuring k-topics and k-actors/actresses. Dramacrazy, viki, gooddrama and krdrama doesn’t exist in my vocabulary before, but now, they are on top of my list. And you my gutterbuds are my dear bestfriends now. 🙂

Totally, I remember waiting for Faith last two episodes, wow, 3 weeks of waiting on hulu I hated it. I can not imagine, then I found Joonni and then all of you, wow, I SO SO SO love this place and all of you…

Oh, I could endure it all, except that, OMO, oh, I would not be able, for all the life in me & all the courage in me…no, I would not be able to survive waiting for Faith’s episode for 3 weeks…minozlove, you know why you have the chance to see Minho sshi? Oh, you waited & survived! Patience saved the day for you!!!! And nature’s getting back at you so well…..if I waited for 3 weeks, I would be throwing whatever i could by the end of the 1st week. By 2nd week, I’d be booked already in jail. By 3rd week, I’d be out on bail. But would already be so nutty-incoherent I wouldn’t be able to identify MinHo!
Aigoooo on the week three out on bail but not able to recognize LMH, now THAT is a definition of a tragedy, forget such life, omo, if I only knew then, it would have been better few weeks. I had no idea about girlfaning, blogging, recapping, wow. I am changing my thesis to Kdrama 🙂

My dear gutterbuds, I consider you all as a blessing for me. I can never survive with my LMH addiction if you ladies didn’t exist. You and the rest of the gutterbuds are the closest friends that I can share with my obsessions, fan girling and admiration towards LMH and the rest of the hottie k-actors that I love. No one can ever understand me with my K-addiction other than you my dear chingus. And I am thankful for that.
IKR apple box, having to watch the airing rom com k-dramas saves me from missing Dae Jang. I just hope that he will have his next drama/movie real soon. I don’t care which time slot or day it will be aired, coz I will definitely watch it, he will always be my first and priority. LOLZ! The Samsung was like a teaser than a CF. Am still waiting for Samsung to put in a 2nd or 3rd tranche for that, or else, am not buying that TV, huh?!
Oh, Binnie did make a presentation or something in Seoul, recently, for this TV (okay will buy, for Binnie)

They are fond of watching movies and me watching k-dramas. We are so serious looking and our supervisors sometimes think that we are so busy with work not knowing what we are really up to. Lolz!
